Great product. Used as a primer coat on asphalt
Great product. Not too difficult to put down over asphalt using a roller with the proper nap thickness. Used as a primer for a flat roof before putting on a second coat with Henry's. I'm not sure how well it will work or how many coats you would need just using this product alone but it worked perfect as a primer

So far, so good
I have a flat roof on the back side of my house with roll roofing that was installed 8 years ago. That room always gets really hot in the Summer so I decided to try this on it. I bought two five gallon buckets which was just barely enough for two coats. (440 sq ft.) It dropped the roof temperature by 60º and the room beneath is a lot more comfortable. I think I may buy a third bucket and hit it one more time but so far, it's doing great.

    Ruined new roof
2018 2-3 layers onto new shingle's. Sept. 21 one leak at the edge of the roof. Damaged wood and water under ALL the singles. From Florida condensation. The roof will be needing complete re-roofing. No big label on product advising how to use on shingles.

Response from Lanco Product ExpertNov 20, 2021
Hi Harold, we apologize for all the inconveniences this has brought you. We are aware of this issue and highlight it on the product label, we highly recommend all of our customers to read the product label before starting any project. For future reference this is what is stated on back of the Ultra Siliconizer product label:

NOTE FOR ASPHALT SHINGLES - Prior to application over asphalt shingle roofs the attic area should be very well ventilated (gable vent fan works best) to prevent condensation on the roof or in between the layers of the shingles or decking. Follow proper cleaning and preparation as described above.
      Great product!
Easy to roll on it dried 24 hours just before the rain came and did fine hope it holds up for a while this is a remodel 26 feet Fleetwood 1995 rv.

        Fabulous Stuff !!
Let me tell you. 4 months ago we put 10 gallons (2 - 5 gallon buckets of Ultra Siloconizer on our 1620 s/f roof. Thin coat. That alone sealed 5 leaks !! We were AMAZED !! And we noticed a big diference as far as coolness in the house, even with the neighbor's tree removed that used to give us shade. (We have 3 rooms with no attic space for insulation and WOW, what a difference !!) Because we realized we didn't use the correct amount for the square footage 1st time before reading comments here nor applying it correctly, we spent 7 hours dipping roller into bucket and applying. WRONG !! This weekend we added 7 more buckets (35 gallons). No mixing. Next year we will add the UV protectant. GREAT STUFF !! Note: be sure to prep your roof. Sweep debris off or use blower pack and make sure roof is dry. We found BEST WAY TO APPLY - pour and sweep - get a $1 soft bristle broom from Dollar Tree and sweep it. Soft bristle broom better than a roller or squeegee. We have shingles with flat rolled roofing. Pour couple gallons and sweep against the shingles to mat them down. You won't believe the appearance, nor the time saver applying with a broom. Took 2 people 3 hours (if that). You can't tell it's shingles anymore. NO wind nor rain will get under any shingle. Great Appearance!! Thank you, Lanco !! Roofer wanted $16,000 for new roof. We spent $1,000 - a FRACTION of the cost - 1/16th. This was also advertised on The Weather Channel during this past Hurricane Season. Don't hesitate; take it from an amateur here; and I'm female 67. If I can do it, anyone can -- Heavy stuff; we also used a pulley to hoist buckets up. Thank you again, Lanco !!

Applied easily with a roller. I swept the roof with a broom as prep. Did about 1000 sq ft of roof with one bucket. House can now be seen from space. Took about 4-5 hours. Seemed to seal everything. Might do a second coat just as insurance and to get any thin spots.

You can "feel" the difference on the roof after painting. The temperature of the roof lowers by quite a lot, allowing you to kneel directly on roof to finish up caulking, etc!
