Product Details

The Latex-ite Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer is an asphalt emulsion-based low-VOC formula designed to beautify and protect your blacktop driveway. This non-skid sealer fills hairline cracks (1/8 in. or less) and is polymer fortified for added durability. Helpful hints before you seal your driveway: 1) Figure out how many pails you need by using the coverage information below in the bullet points. The size and condition of your pavement will dictate how many you need. 2) Flip pails overnight prior to application (it will be much easier to mix in the morning and will ensure consistency). 3) Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 4) Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecasted and it is at least 55 degrees F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly). 5) Check latexite.com for further tips and how-to videos. (Please note: if product is not available to order in your area, it is due to nighttime temperatures.).
  • Coverage on smooth/previously sealed driveways: 400 to 500 sq. ft.
  • Coverage on rough/porous or unsealed driveways: 300 to 400 sq. ft.
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond, and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside; it must be at least 55 degrees at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Ideal for sealing hairline cracks in asphalt/blacktop driveways and walkways
  • Polymer fortified for strength and flexibility
  • EZ-stir, non-skid formula saves time during application
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, PAH compliant, soap and water cleanup
  • Backed by 4-year warranty - not prorated
  • Return Policy
  • California residents

Q:Can this be applied in the late afternoon or does it have to be applied in the early morning?
by|Sep 28, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  We don't recommend applying late in the day. It is best to have a full days' of sun to help dry the product. Dew and animals at night typically play havoc with late day applications.

Bought 25 buckets to do my driveway and my Son’s driveway. Went on and looked nice for about a week. Then it rained for a few days and getting lots of tire marks on driveway and tracking into garage. Looks terrible. Doesn’t look like it will last very long.

          Waste of Money
Applied it in peak of summer. No rain no traffic for 1 whole week. Looked good for first month, and started peeling off in September. Total waste of money.

Love this stuff for the price. My fist DIY driveway sealing job. I filled lowspots last year with their patch material. This year I sealed the entire driveway. This product is great. I would like to compare with the next more expensive version next time in hopefully 2-4 years when this wears out. This one I think says it can last for up to 5 years, the other one is more expensive, but says it will last for 10 years. Looking forward to hopefully a few years of trouble free driveway usage!

Did our 120 foot driveway with this sealer and it went very well. Coverage was good.

We are completely happy with it. Our driveway looks so nice now. It was easy to use. We used it before, a long time ago and were pleased with the results. So we got it again. We will use it again when the time is right.

This is the 3rd time I’ve used this product. I filled the cracks with 2X Crack Filler, let that cure for a few days and applied the Airport Grade sealer as instructed. It had been ~4 years since last application so my driveway was very faded. The sealer goes on easy and looks great once cured. Note that it looks a little brown while wet but dries down to black. I’m pleased with the product. The only thing that I would note is that the product doesn’t cover quite as much as they say. Buy an extra bucket or you’ll be running back to HD.

              Good Product
I read the directions and watched the video thoroughly. I opted to power wash my 2000 square foot driveway first, big application difference. Then the next day, filled some cracks larger than 1/8”. The following day I applied the sealant with a squeegee tool. Temp was in the 80s and sunny with no rain in the forecast for a few days. Make sure you turn containers upside down the night before for easier mixing. Sealant went on very easy and I am happy with the results. Plus I saved myself about $700 doing it myself and it came out better than past hired contractors doing it.

My driveway is old and well worn from the elements. 2 coats of this sealer and it looks like new, again
