Product Overview

The Latex-ite Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer is an asphalt emulsion-based low-VOC formula designed to beautify and protect your blacktop driveway. This non-skid sealer fills hairline cracks (1/8 in. or less) and is polymer fortified for added durability. Helpful hints before you seal your driveway: 1) Purchase an extra pail: any unused portion can be saved for touch-ups (running out during the project may result in color variations). 2) Flip pails overnight prior to application (it will be much easier to mix in the morning and will ensure consistency). 3) Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 4) Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecasted and it is at least 55 degrees F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly). 5) Check latexite.com for further tips and how-to videos. (Please note: if product is not available to order in your area, it is due to nighttime temperatures.).
  • Coverage on smooth/previously sealed driveways: 400 to 500 sq. ft.
  • Coverage on rough/porous or unsealed driveways: 300 to 400 sq. ft.
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond, and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside; it must be at least 55 degrees at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Ideal for sealing hairline cracks in asphalt/blacktop driveways and walkways
  • Polymer fortified for strength and flexibility
  • EZ-stir, non-skid formula saves time during application
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, PAH compliant, soap and water cleanup
  • Backed by 4-year warranty - not prorated
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, PAH compliant, soap and water cleanup

No. You need a different formula from same manufacturer.

i think it depends on how long it had to dry before the rain got to it. mine doesn't seem to be doing that.

Someone mentioned here, for the depression areas, you need solid patch not liquid sealer. I used 30+ bags (50lb each) on multi depression areas with Bullcrete pothole patch (which i liked the best-among 3 pothole patches I used)) then tempered down and drove cars. Wait for 6-8months (according to the instruction) then plan to seal with this product this hot and dry summer. Also I used Latex-ite shallow patch and crack filler for all other minor areas. Hope this help.

It depends on how rough you driveway is. The product label says you might get away with pails. I found I needed more than twice as much. My guess is between 10 and 20+ pails.

I believe this product is too liquid for the use described, Unless the crack/gap is less than than 1/16 inch. You may want to check on crack filler which is thicker I have used between sidewalk panels or patch which is like asphalt for bigger spaces.

Very disappointed
I went to great lengths to clean my driveway ahead of applying this sealant and put down 2 coats. Within a year over half of the coating has flacked off. I’ve also raised this as a concern with HD and had no response.

Lasted one winter
Put it on in the Summer and it looked real nice. By the following Spring it was fading and completely gone in some areas. Don't waste your time.

Don't know why they warranty this, i bought close to 10 buckets of these and it's not worth it. After one winter so many patches. Sealer just pealed off.

This asphalt sealer cracks everywhere after drying on a driveway were patched. I have used all 3 buckets of them! This was done on days with around 70 degree weather so it's not due to heat. Now I have to do the job again with a better brand. Time and money wasted!

After applying this product, many places are peeling as shown by the photos.
We bought 12 buckets of this product and applied to our driveway with temperature of upper 80's , after three days with good luck of sunshine weather, no rain at all, many places are peeling as photos. Very disappointed after work done and our driveway look like that. Next time, we may have to search other better product.
