Product Overview

The Latex-ite Airport Grade Driveway Filler Sealer is an asphalt emulsion-based low-VOC formula designed to beautify and protect your blacktop driveway. This non-skid sealer fills hairline cracks (1/8 in. or less) and is polymer fortified for added durability. Helpful hints before you seal your driveway: 1) Purchase an extra pail: any unused portion can be saved for touch-ups (running out during the project may result in color variations). 2) Flip pails overnight prior to application (it will be much easier to mix in the morning and will ensure consistency). 3) Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 4) Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecasted and it is at least 55 degrees F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly). 5) Check latexite.com for further tips and how-to videos. (Please note: if product is not available to order in your area, it is due to nighttime temperatures.).
  • Coverage on smooth/previously sealed driveways: 400 to 500 sq. ft.
  • Coverage on rough/porous or unsealed driveways: 300 to 400 sq. ft.
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond, and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside; it must be at least 55 degrees at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Ideal for sealing hairline cracks in asphalt/blacktop driveways and walkways
  • Polymer fortified for strength and flexibility
  • EZ-stir, non-skid formula saves time during application
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, PAH compliant, soap and water cleanup
  • Backed by 4-year warranty - not prorated

Looks great
This is the second time I have used this on my driveway. Makes it look brand new. I ended up using less this time due to the driveway was in better shape than the last time I applied it. It says apply every 5 years, but I like to seal mine every 4 years. You can tell it needs it and its easier to maintain that way.

Nicely rehabbed an old driveway
Purchased approximately 12 buckets of this sealer to apply to a driveway that had not been sealed in over a decade and had very deep cracks in many spots, as well as a few cold patches installed and several gallons of crack filler put down in the worst places. Wound up using a push broom as the applicator, because of how rough the surface was (had to repeatedly drag over the deepest cracks to ensure not too much liquid filler was left in the grooves). Honestly though I am very happy with how it turned out, even though I think the driveway was in worse shape than one would typically apply sealer to given how deeply cracked it was in places. Fingers crossed it will hold up for a few years before I need to do it again.

    Each Bucket is a Surprise
There is absolutely no consistency to this product. Each bucket is a surprise. One never knows if the sealer will be the correct viscosity. When it’s right, it covers good. When it isn’t, it’s like spreading black water on your driveway. The last bucket I opened had a strong sewer like odor. I’m assuming this means it’s bad.

This product worked great. I didn’t get close to the coverage that the instructions estimated though. But great value at Home Depot and it looks great.

After doing 3/4 of driveway I opened last bucket, it must have gone bad cause it would not mix no matter how much I stirred , it did noting but clump, and only covered about 72 sq feet, ( a 5x12 section)

Product says Commercial strength but It's not
8 yrs ago I used this sealer in 2 driveways and it did o.k for 2 1/2yrs. Last year I used it on a small parking lot since it said Commercial strength. After 9 months the sealer failed, so I contacted them only to find out that they will not warranty it since it was used on a parking lot! See even though it says Commercial strength it is not recommended for Commercial use, which sadly it does says on the back if you read the Whole label carefully! So how can they claim Commercial strength if it doesn't work on a small commercial lot. So this tells me that because of their advertising that their sealer isn't as good as they claim.

          Not happy with product
I applied this to my asphalt walkway. I had used a pressure washer to clean to old surface. The old surface had been sealed maybe 12 years ago. The next day the product was peeling up. I was blowing chips of the sealer up with my leaf blower. Once I blew up the loose chips I reapplied and the same result. I would not purchase this again.

            great product
After reading reviews, they were mixed. I gave it a try. Very impressed. But like everything, preperation is key! I recieved a qoute for $413.00 from a company. I payed $120 in material 2.5 hours worth of easy work. Very pleased!
