(What's this)
There are several things I really liked about this blower: The backpack design is much better balanced, so causes far less back strain than a traditional blower The electric start, while it worked, was very simple to use. Unfortunately, it failed after 4 months of use. The blower is very quiet compared to some, even though the velocity is adequate for blowing leaves and debris from my sidewalks and flower gardens. Unfortunately, the starter did not hold up. Since there is no pull-start option, the blower cannot be used without the electric start. I would have liked to see a 'fallback' starting option for this eventuality, but there is not one. That is the reason for my low rating.

I have a great new toy! I know I said I that was through with 2-cycle engines. My leaf blower, my string trimmer AND my chain saw are ALL electric. It all because the 2-cycles are, at best, finicky to start, at worst, impossible to start. Then I get my Lawnmaster No-Pull. Electric start... right. We'll see. Assembly was straightforward. I charged up the battery and poured in my high-priced 40:1 gas mix. Pressed the starter button... and it started. I turned it off, put on the harness, and started it again... and it STARTED AGAIN. I devastated the leaves on my patio . -- blew them to kingdom come. Fun. It's quieter than I thought it would, but it seems to have tons of power. And as long as it starts, it'll be fun.

(What's this)
This is a decent blower and mostly works well, there are some things I like about it and others that I am not so fond of. They asked if I would recommend this product, and the answer would actually be maybe. If you have a big area with not too many obstructions or your hand and arm gets tired with a hand held then then yes, it you need to clean tight areas then no. The battery start works well, but there is no pull starter for a back up, if the battery is dead, the battery takes about an 1/2 an hour to an hour to get enough charge to start the blower, (4 to 6 hours for a full charge) so you have to wait for the battery to charge. Sometimes it is a little problematic getting it to restart, usually it will start with the throttle off, but sometimes you have to take it off your back and push the primer bulb once or twice to get it to restart. The blower is not extremely loud so that is nice. The straps and harness adjust well for most sizes of people and are comfortable. The air nozzle comes in four solid pieces and a flex piece, these have little ridges to help you twist them together which is nice, but unless you have the clamps on the flex hose very tight when installing or removing sections the hose will rotate at the flex hose clamp points and not come apart. If the weather is chilly the hose sections are fairly hard to turn to lock and unlock them. You can remove sections of the hose if you would like a shorter hose. It does have decent power, but not much better than my inexpensive hand held leaf blower. Because it is a bulkier than hand held blower it should have more power to get the leaves out of the places you can't get into, but it really does not. The big plus for this is that you can put the weight on your back and not have your hand and arms get tired or go numb. The blower nicely isolated from the frame with springs and does not transmit much vibration to you. The Handle is comfortable and has the Start button, the Throttle Trigger and the "Cruise Control" to hold the throttle for you which is nice. The weight is not bad as it weighs in at about 19 lbs. It does come with some basic tools to assemble it and change the spark plug. The air filter is easy to access. The battery start is nice, when it will restart. Note I never had any problems getting it to start, just to restart, where I would have to take it off my back and push the primer bulb a time or two, then it would pop right off. All in all a decent blower, but I really would like more air from a backpack leaf blower.

(What's this)
The blower arrived in a nice cardboard graphics describing the unit features, and was in good shape when I opened it. I sat down and read the manual, then proceeded with assembly. The first thing I did was charge the battery, this took several hours. Physical assembly consists of attaching the flex section and output tubes, and took about 10 minutes, All tools required are supplied. After the LED on the charger turned from red to green, I was ready to go. I inserted the battery (which is surprisingly small) and gassed it up with 40:1 2 cycle ethanol free mix. Unit will run on up to 10% ethanol, but I prefer ethanol free for all my power equipment. Initial start took a few minutes as blower is shipped dry. After that, starting was a breeze. Blower is not too heavy, and is easy to carry and operate. Wind speed and volume are great for clearing leaves from my long driveway. The electric start is a game changer! If you are on the roof clearing gutters, it is so much easier than removing the blower to pull a cord. Simply press the button and go to work. It makes a fair amount of noise, so hearing protection is recommended. The bower engine has a catalytic muffler that should be replaced after 50 hours of use, that is probably 2 or 3 seasons here. Tools is warrantied for 3 years, battery and charger for 2 years. An excellent upgrade, just in time for leaf season!

(What's this)
I recently had the opportunity to get a battery powered backpack sprayer and although it was heavier than the handheld one I owned, having the weight on my back instead of hanging on to it and never having to stop to pump up the pressure, made all the difference in the world! My old, trusty leaf blower is at the point where it needs a new carb and a tune-up, so while I was looking at options, I saw this blower. When I saw that it has an electric start, I thought of all the times I’ve had to pull on that cord and I decided that my old blower was going to become my back-up blower. A single charge of the battery that starts this blower will last for more starts than I need each season (150). The blower is a bit more powerful than my old one but I’m not going to have to switch it from hand to hand because it gets heavy – like I do now. I’ll be better balanced going down the hills in my yard because the weight is centered on my back. I was concerned that it might be uncomfortable to wear but after putting it on, that went right out the window! There’s a chest strap, a padded waist strap and 2 padded shoulder straps – all of which are adjustable – that ensure a comfortable fit. The back panel is vented and cushioned, which also adds to my comfort. It just doesn’t get any better than this – unless you can get your neighbor to do the job for you! The unit offers a 3-year Limited Tool Warranty and 2-year Limited Battery and Charger warranty. The assembly instructions are not as clear as they should be but that shouldn't stop you from getting it done. The most difficult step for me was connecting the flexible elbow tube to the end of the blower tube. It needed some "persuasion" to get it done. Overall, I believe that this is a 4 star product.

This product completely changed my yard cleanup. I used to have a hand held blower, which was tough to manage after about 10 minutes. Most times I spent a lot of effort using the rake in certain areas because it was easier. By the end of a full yard cleanup my arm was dead. This back pack model completely changed that. It was a breeze to use and after an hour plus I felt as good as when I put it on. The blower is very powerful and has a comfortable feel while using. The push button start is a game changer with this product. I put it on after mowing once for a quick clean up of the grass and it took me 5 minutes. As you can see in the pictures, I opted for only one extension piece as I felt that was perfect for my height. Assembly was a piece of cake and took only about 10 minutes, with reading the instruction manual. If there was one negative, it’s the bendable arm of the blower is a bit tight and tough to move around. I am guessing that this will start to be more flexible over time. Great product.

Lawnmaster NO-PULL 175 MPH 470 CFM 31cc Gas with Electronic Start Backpack Leaf Blower. Well it was hard to assemble, one of the hose clamps broke when i was putting it together! So after going to the hardware store, so i could complete the assembly, i gassed it up to see if it would work. I put the backpack on, it feels great. I had trimmed my hedges, so i though about blowing it clean. Not the best fot that(i could have raked it faster!) You could wear it all day long and not get worn out.

(What's this)
This backpack leaf blower was easy to assemble in about 15 minutes. I charged the battery that starts it overnight so it was all ready to go the next morning. I made sure the fresh gas was well mixed with the right amount of oil according to the owner's manual. After priming the plastic bulb and plugging in the battery I pushed the start button on the trigger assembly once and it wouldn't start. After several attempts like that I thought I might have flooded it, so I gave it a rest for a few minutes, read the owner's manual again and started trying to start it again. It wouldn't start. Then after reading the owner's manual again I though that maybe instead of pushing the start button one time I should hold it down which it didn't say in the manual. It started right up then. The manual should be updated to say hold the button down until it starts, not just push it in. After that I used it for over 45 minutes and I realized it is the best leaf blower I have every had. The power is incredible. I only used one of the expansion wands of the two it came with. It fits very comfortably with the padding on all the straps and the back. After learning the proper way to start it I had no trouble after that. I also recommend wearing a set of earphones and eye protection glasses as the owners manual says since it is so powerful and loud.

Fall has just begun and I couldn't be happier to have the lawnmaster backpack leaf blower. The first things that I noticed when using it for the first time is that it is really powerful. It was easily moving leaves and also small stones, sticks and debris which was really impressive. But even with all that power that is almost no vibration on your hands or back. It really isn't all that loud either. The no pull start is a breeze. It come with a battery and charger. All that you need to add is the 40:1 fuel.
