I built a retaining wall on a hill slope at the top of my back yard. The camo buckets filled with soil & rocks stacked in two rows with the green lids created weight to retain the hill. I needed 32 green lids to seal the buckets. The lids were easy to use, sealed the buckets from moisture, and were easy to burp the air out. They are also strong enough to support a knee or foot when weeding or planting around them.

2 of 3 are still working for me(2 yrs) but one CRACKED when removing it from bucket within about 2 months of usage @ ~once per week and later CRACKED AGAIN in another location. Cracks have become rips. I think the problem is that the lip is not long enough on these.

Lids are okay. A little weak. Stacking even two buckets (filled with water) seems to be deforming the lids some and will probably lead to cracking over time. I need to stack these three-buckets high long-term and will just place some plywood in between to help distribute the load. Regarding how well they seal, I think they are MODERATELY sealed for air/water/vapor. I would never turn them sideways with liquid inside cause the lids will probably burst off but they could probably work for storing shelf-stable, non-smelly food in a garage, for instance. standing up but shouldn't be placed sideways (lids will pop off).

They are great.. The fit is perfect, but I never tested the seal to see if it was waterproof.. Unfortunately, I was unfamiliar and in a rush when ordering and didn't discover they come in different colors until after delivery..

Of the three lids, one has molding defects, causing it to not attach/seal correctly to the bucket. Poor manufacturing, poor quality control.

This was a good purchase. Out of stock at my local store, so I ordered this green color as a delivery to store. Color is great, lids work well with my black leaktite buckets that I purchased from my local home depot over the summer. Easy on and off.
