Really Great Power Strip
Legrand/Wiremold 8-Outlet Power Strip
This is a great power strip. It is 52” long, 1.25” wide, comes with a 6’ cord and has 8 outlets placed about 6” apart. I installed this on the top, rear of my workbench using the included mounting clips and could not be happier. This strip is well made, the plugs are spaced adequately so that power supplies don’t interfere with each other and once mounted it does not move around, it also works nicely at keeping things from sliding off the back of my workbench. The cord is sufficiently long and has a three prong plug molded on.

Practical
I needed a power strip to support all my battery chargers this one does the trick. Eight three prong receptacles housed in a metal five foot long casing and a six foot three prong plug rounds out his handy product. Keep in mind this not a gfi protected or surge protected electrical unit. This unit is just a very well housed multiple receptacles electrical extension unit. Comes with mounting clips and screws.

I liked the old snap together design better. This new...
I liked the old snap together design better. This new Wiremold strip has the top cover riveted to the base. I had to drill out the rivets to separate the two pieces. I paint the cover black to match the edging of my bench (see photo). The old design (I think discontinued) snapped together and you can separate with a couple of screw drivers. I suspect Legrand doesn't want consumers to open up the power strip (Safety police). I also think the price is a bit high. Once you open it up you'll see there really isn't much to it. Not sure why it is so much more pricey over a small power strips....the guts are basically the same. The Wiremold has a metal case which accounts for some price increase. Overall I would give the a "B" grade.
