install the plug the indicator is green but the reset button does not work and the test button does nothing, what could it be
Switch the top and bottom wires. Leviton GFCI is unusual. If the green light comes on as soon as power is supplied, you have the wires reversed. When you switch top and bottom (not left and right!) and apply power you may see it flash red for a moment before going green then it will work properly.
I had the same issue. I sent it back for a refund.
