How wire the putlool
Is this appropriate to use outdoors?
Is this outlet glossy black or matte?
I have wired black to brass at top then white to silver on top (green light comes on) no power, 2nd I switched to the bottom and the same thing green light came on and no power was admitted from outlet, now I’ve hit the test nothing I’ve hit reset nothing
Hot wires have to be screwed into botttom of outlet. Test for power before moving on to top screws
How long the useful life of the GFCI plugs are?
The GFTR1 is covered under a 2-year Warranty. You can contact Tech Support at 800-824-3005 option 1 for additional support.
Is it possible to have the green light disabled?
No
Do I have to push the reset button after every time this automatically tests itself even if no issues are found?
No, not unless it fails the self test then you try to reset it, if its unable then device needs to be replaced to continue GFCI protection.
Is this tamper resisted (TR) made for outdoors or do I need to purchase the weather resistant (WR) ones?
WR is rated for outdoor use TR just means tamper resistant . some devices can be both.
