A:  Hi, As long as device is use within its ratings and to code, that should not be a problem.

A:  I personally am not familiar with Air Fryer Oven's. I do know a lot about electricity. If the cord on the Air Fryer Oven has a three prong plug you do not want to break off or alter the ground lug on the Cord. You will be inviting a disaster. The third prong is your safety ground in case of a short circuit in the Fryer. If you break that lead off you could get killed if something shorts out in the fryer oven. I would consult with an Electrician or the manufacture. This plug is quite different than one you find on a lamp cord. If your wall recepticals are two prong type and will not accept the third prong (ground lug) you should not use the plug above mentioned without having someone qualified hook it up for you.

A:  Hi Rhonda There are 2 cord caps I carry on my truck that handle all my appliance replacement needs. Leviton makes a 2 wire version #R60-115PR-00R. If you need 3 wire version #R70-515PR-00R. Awesome heavy duty bang for the buck! Both numbers show results when punched into the HD search bar.

A:  Hi Rhonda, Just in case you haven't already made the repairs, this plug is made for a flat 2 wire cord. If your air fryer has a round cord or a cord with a round grounding spade, it will not work.

A:  Black wire to brass.

A:  The hot wire (Black) is always connected to the brass colored terminal and the neutral wire (White) connected to the silver colored terminal. Notice also that the prongs of the plug are slightly different sizes. That is to ensure the the hot and neutral are always connected from source to load. Decades ago some things, like TVs, had their "chassis ground" connect to the neutral terminal. but the plugs weren't always polarized (ie. the prongs were both the same size). So, one had to take care when working on such equipment to not accidentally connect the chassis to the hot wire. Otherwise one would get shocked touching the equipment chassis. Anyway, that is the standard wiring convention and the safe one.

A:  Here's a trade trick to use for 120 VOLT devices that saves looking for screw color: >>>>>>>"WIDE is WHITE"<<<<<<< The Wide (taller) prong is for the neutral. It needs to be the shell of a lamp socket. Remember that when the light bulb is unscrewed the screw shell is cold. The hot should be the tip of the light socket connected to the Narrow (shorter) prong.

A:  The WHITE or Neutral wire (sometimes ribbed on the Outer Insulation of the cord) goes to the SILVER screw (wider blade) of the plug. Therefore the BLACK or Hot wire goes to the BRASS screw (narrower blade) of the plug.
