Hi kr, yes you can use this inside or outside. I have one on my carport steps going up into my house. It is outside and not enclosed, other than having a ceiling on my steps. It works great, and I have never had a problem with it. I hope this is helpful. Thank you for your question.
Hi John. Here is one at Home Depot. Internet #207205406 Model # 4052 BROWN. It shows to be a case of 100, but you could check with them and see what the price for one is, if they sale them individually. Thank you for your question. Hope this is helpful.
Hi Kim, yes, you can use this outside on your porch. That's where I have one mounted, and have never had any problems with it. Thank you for your question. I hope this is helpful.
No, this item can't be wired using a 15 amp circuit.
Hi Kenneth. This can be used in an attic if you have the proper wiring for it. I don't know what wattage bulb you're planning to use, but I have a 75 watt in the one I have, but it's not in my attic. This is a really nice fixture by Leviton. I've used these for years and they don't wear out. My replacement was due to accidentally breaking my old one. Thank you for your question. I hope this is helpful.
Hi Kenneth, I'm not sure about the attic, but I definitely don't think that would be a problem. I have a 75-watt bulb in the one I have and have had no problems with it. However, it is not on 24-7 either. I don't know if that matters either. The one I have is for a porch light, and even though I don't leave it on all the time, there have been a few times I did leave it on all night, and had no problem. This is a great keyless ceiling mount by Leviton. In fact the one I had on my porch accidentally was broken, and it also was a Leviton. I had it for approximately 20 years. They are definitely made to last. Thank you for your question. hope this is helpful.
Hi Brian. Yes you can. If you mean like out underneath a porch, garage or something like that. I have mine installed outside, but it's underneath my front porch. I've had one there for many years and it holds up well. Thank you for your question. I hope this is helpful.
Hi Radulfus, I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond to your question, but I have been researching for an answer with questions and emails to no avail. I am truly sorry I have been unable to find an answer to your question, but I have tried very hard. To be honest, I'm kind of curious about that also. I apologize again for coming up empty handed. Have a nice day.
Hello Footloose50, yes you can put an LED bulb in these. The base is made very similar to the pull-chain type fixture that is in some lamps. I have LED bulbs in a couple of lamps. You can use pretty much any type of bulb that will fit this fixture. Thank you for the question. I hope this was helpful.
As Mike has said above, the "electric code" (NEC, local, etc) ANYWHERE in the US will require a box for any location where electrical connections are made! This requirement applies to all junction boxes, light fixtures, switches, receptacles, etc).
