Q:Does this come in other sizes, such as any that would work with dimensional boards? A 1 x 8 is actually 7.25 inches, making this bracket too deep.

      A:  There are other sizes. Most are larger. Check online or at the store. There may be one size smaller such as 1 x 6.

The brackets are 6.06" tall with a projection of 8.27" and can accommodate a shelf that is 8" deep, 24" wide, and a thickness of 3/4". The maximum weight load is 60 lbs per set of brackets.                 Very good brackets with wall mounting hardware. Sturdy when mounted and looks very attractive for shelving. The bottoms are a bit long, so be sure you have enough vertical distance to cover the space needed.

                  A good, sturdy product.
                  I had a shelf come down that was not mounted into studs. I couldn't move the position of the shelf or the mounts, so I bought these shelf mounts and reinforced the shelf by mounting them into studs, and the fit was perfect.
