Short Version: Their quantity 1 means 9 inches x 12ft width. I was also confused by how they set this up and I don't understand why as it's simply a sheet of vinyl that they could cut to any length. But to answer your question the sheet is 12ft long. But for each quantity you enter you get 9" instead of 12". I don't know if they do this to be tricky and seem cheaper or what. When I purchased this I needed 12ft by 7ft. So I entered 7 quantity not realizing it was 7x9in=63inches. So I had a 63"x144" (5ft3inx12ft) section. Again I don't know why they can't just say 1=1ft. So 156 sq ft / 9 sq ft = 18 quantity. Fix this issue. You're listing the price as per sq ft so there is 0 reason to have the quantity be 9 inches instead of 1ft. If you charged per sq yard ok but you aren't.

To- Vinyl Floor Expert- If you don't recommend the usual pressure sensitive adhesive to be used while installing this, why does it say RIGHT ON THE RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION MATERIALS to use the pressure sensitive adhesive ? And why wouldn't people want a commercial quality installation done ? My big problem is, I'm just trying to GET this vinyl and the website says to call the store because it's available and the store personnel say its only available special order online and it will be months before it comes in! Thats crazy !

So 140 sq ft / 9 sq ft = 16 quantity. But if you don't want a seam you'd have to go by the 14ft as the 12ft wide will cover the 10ft. So 14ft is 168in/9in = 19 quantity. You'd waste a lot of material but no seam to deal with. Fix this issue. You're listing the price as per sq ft so there is 0 reason to have the quantity be 9 inches instead of 1ft.
