In cold weather how long does it take to heat up to high temperature
    ByAug 23, 2025
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

Hello Joel, Thank you for your inquiry. The 110v LS350DX is a heat recovery system that uses a thermal friction pump. The pump will heat the water about 1 degree per hour with the cover on and the air valves turned off. That is the most efficient way to heat the spa in cold weather. If you should have any other questions or concerns. please call us at 888-961-7727 Mon-Fri 7am-4pm PST.

With a GFCI on the plug is it necessary for a GFCI breaker in the box?
          ByMay 11, 2025
          1 Answer |
          Answer This Question

Hello Mitch, Thank you for reaching out. No, you would not need a GFCI breaker supplying power to the outlet that the spa plugs into. The spa has the GFCI on the cord.

              Answer This Question

Hello Dgordon, Thank you for reaching out. The GFCI cord is 15' long, however, a couple feet are taken up inside the cabinet from the control box to the electrical access port. which leaves about 13' of cord to work with. give or take a few inches.

We live in a travel trailer. Can we just plug the tub into our outside electrical outlet?

                Answer This Question

Hello Willie, Thank you for your interest in Life Smart Spas. Yes, the LS350DX can be plugged into an outside outlet as long as there is a 15amp breaker dedicated to that outlet and there are no other items connected to that same outlet. The spa will draw about 12 amps when operating.

Nothing But Good Things to Say
We've had our unit for over a year and I really have nothing but good things to say about this spa. Comparing this 110V portable unit to a 220V heavier unit, this one wins for me, hands down. I did not have to have electricians install a 220V outlet (saving us several hundred dollars) and a team of four movers was able to move it from the street to the back patio with ease. I created a temporary pad ahead of time and we had the unit up and running in hours. Another bonus is, if you move, take this with you! It's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new one and moving it is not the daunting task you find in the heavier units.

Long term review: Summer 2021 to Spring 2025
I think a lot of buyers are like us, first time hot tub owners who purchased during COVID. It took a couple months to be delivered due to high demand and supply issues during lockdowns, but that gave us plenty of time to prepare the pad and get power installed. This has been easy to use and maintain. In fact, we have misused and abused it and never had a problem. Yesterday I accidentally left the hose running for two hours while I was adding water, so now its going to run for 36 hours straight to catch up. I dropped one star because it heats up slowly but that's a function of the 110V power and one reason it was more affordable. You can see the typical side bulges in my photo but they don't seem to affect function and we've had no leaks. I think its a good idea to have a step to help crawl in so that you aren't putting excess pressure on the edges.

                      Great Spa for the Money!
We love our LS350DX Spa! The overall size and weight help make it perfect for our space. The capacity is probably more like 4 adults than 5. However, children and smaller adults could probably be comfortable with 5 in the spa. The spa isn't very loud when in operation. The cover functions well and seems well made. The power efficiency seems good. we have seen no spikes in electric consumption through the past three winter months. We transported the spa around our house from the delivery location with 3 or 4 people, probably two could do the easy roll over our grass to the back of the house, 4 steps up the deck then one step through the doorway to the porch took four to coordinate and lift the spa. My favorite time to use the spa is after pickleball for some hydrotherapy! The material of the spa seems to be very functional and acceptable. The finish is a little rough, but not abrasive. This is good for non-slip but if your bathing suit is skimpy, you may notice... Delivery is why I am not giving five stars. The delivery driver was great, friendly and helpful. However, the spa arrived in a box truck, thrown in with other deliveries like TV's, a piece of furniture, etc and was not on the pallet. The spa was "lowered down" from the truck to our concrete driveway by hand and was not the smoothest landing. Also, the spa was sat on the driveway with the door side down and also rolled (with the layer of bubble wrap / cushion still on). All sides of the spa are bowed and the top edges seem bent as well. It's nothing that effects the performance of the spa, but it is noticeable if you look. Also, one of the door screws was smashed into the door material... it is still functioning and you have to look closely to notice.

Very Happy with hot tub! Received in FL about 2 weeks after online order. Delivery was quick. Hot tub was wheeled right into my garage with a pallet jack. Tub is super light and made completely of fiberglass, making it easy to set down and push around(empty). I unwrapped it, filled it with water, plugged it in and had water temperature over 100 degrees within 24 hrs. I have now had it for a month and it is leak and problem free. Only complaint is could use some head rests.

Why did I wait so long!
I ordered this and it came early, delivered in Dec instead of January. I had a concrete pad made for the spa. NoCal, outdoor temp 45-59 degrees. I have the spa set between 99-103 and a separate thermometer verifies the temp. I go in everyday. I have the 350 with 110 voltage. I was concerned the jets would be weak but they are great. Only issue is dipping my phone and wanting accessories, a pillow and booster cushion. Need to add storage for the cover, Soaking now. Cheers. Great seats too.

I was so excited for this spa to arrive. Within 30 minutes of filling, I had a good size bulge in one of the sides. 2 days later all sides are bulging. I’m so sad.

We’re having a hard time finding a replacement cover (hard top). The material deteriorated which allowed the rain water to accumulate to the point that it busted. The cover was so heavy when lifted and material damaged, it fell apart.

The tub manages to keep the water hot for a decent amount of time if the outside temp is above around 50F, but during the winter when it's in the mid to upper 30's the tub will drop temp within around 30 minutes. I kind of expected this performance with a 120V heating system, so no stars lost there. Where this tub DOES lose stars is the fact that the sides of the tub have started to warp within 3 months of owning it. The tub is on a level concrete slab, but one side is sagging in and the side next to it is bowing outward (see pics), the side that's bowing out is the one with the access door and now I'm afraid to take the door off in case it doesn't fit back on. This does not make me think that this 4000 dollar hot tub will last very long at all, I kind of wish I had just spent a bit more money for a 240V tub with a better build quality at the start.

                                Distorted shell
After just 4 months in service this is my review. Though otherwise stated this is not fully insulated, as the access door has no insulation, as did some of the underbelly of the tub. In a cooler climate, as in Northern California, we are seeing a 45 dollar a month spike in our electric bill. The plug and play cord needs to have a place to secure it under the outside edge of the spa. The jets are rather weak. The inside depth is disappointing, as it is too shallow. The shell, being vinyl/plastic is warping already. When I called customer service I was informed that “this was normal”.....what!? In fact they don’t even want to talk about it’s shortcomings until the warping and distortion reaches 4”. What a piece of crap...don’t buy.

Hello, thank you for your time in reviewing your LS350DX. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with shell distortion and are unhappy with the quality of our full foam insulation. Distortion commonly happens if the spa is not on a fully level, concrete surface with full support for the spa, water, and people using the spa. Please feel free to reach back out to our customer support team for further assistance.

                                  In cold weather it leaks
I purchased my spa in June. It’s been great for the summer no issues. The water fall is kinda pointless it’s very low and takes power away from the jets. My issue and warning to you all is this. In cold weather the spa leaks from around the top of the cover when not in Use. I called the company and they said this is normal. It causes the water to run down the sides of the tub and wet the areas on the floor around my tub. Now this is dangerous in the cold because the water turns to ice and is very slippery. Mine isn’t even outside it’s in the garage. My stairs and rug by the spa is always soaked with a puddle running to the drain in the middle of the garage. Also it causes the hot tub to lose a lot of water which if i didn’t notice it today the water level was almost past the pump line and would of caused the pump to burn up. I was told i should buy an insulated blanket. This would of been nice to know before i purchased this spa. It would of changed my mind. A normal hot tub that i have had in the past has never done this. Even the blow up hot tub i had didn’t do it. So if you live in a warm climate it’s good but in colder climates be warned of ice and leaking. They say this is perfect for the winter and snow timing. I disagree completely. Looks like I’ll be draining it for the winter.
