You must provide a platform on which to assemble your shed. Proper building permit documentation may be required in your neighborhood. Consult all local building codes prior to assembling the shed. Before beginning assembly, you must pour or construct a platform. There are two types: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. We recommend a Concrete platform. It will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Detailed instructions on how to construct a proper platform can be found in the product manual which can be downloaded at www.lifetime.com.

15x8 lifetime shed
The base should be level. With out a level base you will not have a successful assembly. Also get a few friends and take your time. The Bible of instructions also is missing a step. The roof supports for snow load are not clearly shown how to install. All in all Great buy and we’ll worth the money. Wish they made a bigger one.

Fits like a jigsaw puzzle!
I was going to build a wooden shed like the one I have, but I have a problem with carpenter bees. They are making Swiss cheese out of my wood shed. So I decided to buy a plastic shed. I did not like the instructions how they used three letters to identify hardware parts. It would be easier if they would've had the screws and washers in fractional and gauge size. ( example: #10X3/4" Panhead sheet metal screw) I did like how all of the screw holes lined up really easily. Two days after I erected the shed it rained - no leaks. Just a little helpful hint to install the roof peak skylights. Instead of needle nose pliers I used needle nose Vice grip pliers clamped to the tabs on the skylights. The weight of the needle nose Vice grip helps make an easier install. (See picture)

Nothing but compliments
Needed a shed that had space and easy access. I put this together myself, took my time (spent about 4 to 5 hrs per day). Total time was 8 days, but had some problems that Lifetime explained to me how to resolve. If you are confused with the directions there are videos on Youtube the will help you. One thing, make sure that you follow the instructions and the videos exactly. Had the doors fall several times and thought I had bent the center strut - turned out it was to bolts that got bent on the strut. So do be careful. Yes, the instructions say completed in 4 hours but that is the professionals with 3 people doing the work, not one person. Yes, one person can put the shed together. After I had finished the shed, we had a heavy rainfall, no leaks! One feature that it does not have that I am going to put on is wire rope two of the struts down to the floor. Any heavy straight wind event could cause the shed to collapse (see the video on youtube). If I didn't have a fence along the back end I would anchor both sides. Its a precaution. I do recommend this shed.

All aspects of the purchase moved along quickly, the driver for the parts delivery was great and worked with my wife to put where we wanted and the gentlemen who did the install did a great job. We had a heavy rain just recent and stayed nice and dry. Overall very pleased. Looking to buy another half size to match for another location.

We decide to get a good shed with doors on two sides and this was the best of all, price was great for the size and I did the installation as well, they guys were fast and professional left everything clean and organized. I was able to store all my patio and other items inside plus my work boxes and still have a lot of space in the middle to place more items.

Nice sturdy shed. I put it together by myself and a couple step ladders. Took about 16 total hours. Make sure you "de-burr" all the pieces before you start putting it together. I agree with others who say the instructions are confusing but I was able to figure everything out. It does not come with an anchor kit so prepare for that.

Well made shed.
Well made shed bought for $2050 CDN, as opposed to the near $3000 for the same model with just two doors so a good deal and good VFM. Went together really well with no issues, a one man job over two full days, with an hours help with a couple of the roof panels that require some pressure on top to hold down when fitting. As per the instructions a totally level base is a must, any surface that is not totally flat will translate to a difficult build, panels that wont fit if they are just 1/4 inch out, or doors that don't close. Therefore if you do not have an existing totally level base already you need to cost in building one, both materials and labour, so add $750 - $2000+ to the project cost depending on i live due to the your base preference. I built a solid deck style platform 16' x 8' with 9 x deep in ground posts (needed where I live due to the cold winters and ground freezing) for $1750 due to the grading on my lawn.
