The telescoping pole adjusts the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6-inch increments.
I'm a 68 year old gramma and was able to assemble this in my garage in less than 2 hours by making one change to the instruction steps. When I got to step 3.1 (attaching backboard brackets to pole) I removed the "adjustment knob and it's bolt" and turned the upper pole section around so it was actually facing the wrong direction (toward the base). I then followed steps 3.1 through 4.2. Once the backboard was attached and tightened, I carefully flipped the backboard over into it's proper position (facing outward) and replaced the adjustment knob. I wheeled it out to it's permanent position, filled it about half way with water from the hose, slowly flipped it up and filled it the rest of the way, put in the plugs and gave the hoop a test shot. Hope this helps.

I bought this portable hoop for my 17 year old grandson along with the neighborhood kids. They all dunk on it but I've put a reminder on the backboard, "Please do not to hang on the rim"
High school backboards measure 72"
The max height for this unit is 10ft
This is a telescoping system designed with 2 pole pieces. To adjust the height, you'll need to tip the system over and twist a knob to remove the carriage bolt running horizontally through the pole. This allows you to slide the top pole piece to the desired height. Then replace the knob and retighten the bolt.
Yes it is on wheels and is easily moved from one area to another...
