BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
My kids and nephew broke my neighbors basketball hoop a couple weeks backs..
After scouring the internet I came up empty handed. I reluctantly reached out to lifetime looking for the part, but am I glad I did. Not only was the instant messaging very painless, they sent me the part for free! Unbelievable! I will never hesitate to reach out if I need parts for the hoop in my driveway.

Great customer service. A few issues with backboard.
I purchased and installed my Lifetime basketball hoop (model #78888) in the Summer of 2008. It went together well and is sturdy. There are three issues I have experienced:
1) The acrylic backboard separated from the frame at the top corners (it is windy here). I notified customer service, sent pictures and a copy of the receipt. They shipped a new backboard, no charge. I finally installed it this last weekend (the old one still worked, just flapped a bit). The new one had the same issue, so I picked up some corner braces at the local hardware store (see pics).
2) One of the rim netlocks broke off. We had a school welding shop student fix it for us.
3) There is a plastic piece between the backboard and rim. My son has been known to hang on the hoop at times. This has ruined that plastic piece. The rim now slants slightly forward.
Overall the basketball hoop has been a good value and has served my family of five well.
