Questions & Answers

I see that u can get a mount for a electric trolling motor . How do I order one?

Asked by Jeff June 16, 2021

You can find the motor mount at this link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Lifetime-Kayak-Motor-Mount-Kit-90144/204637761

I would like to add a Trolling Motor and have (2) questions: 1 - What Shaft Length do you recomme...

Asked by Chaz November 5, 2020

We would recommend no more than a 30 inch shaft and around 30 lbs. of thrust. When you drop your motor lower into the water you can get below that top level that has a lot of air in it from surface turbulence. Getting the propeller into the lower and more dense water will improve performance. It also helps to avoid contact with anything floating on the surface of the water. You do stand a greater chance of running the motor and propeller into the ground when you are near shore or in low water bodies of water so be cautious.

Is it easy to get in and out of from a dock?

Asked by ChrisWw August 7, 2020

Production is scheduled for this model on 8/27. We hope to have available inventory after that date.

is it a sit on top or a type of hybrid that could fill with water? Am interested in buying two.

Asked by wantingasitontop July 23, 2020

Yes sit on top. It has holes and has rubber/ foam plugs . It has a inner layer tha could be accessed through the screw on storage. I dont think this can sink unless punctured.

Is there a picture with three people on this kayak

Asked by Fran July 16, 2020

My wife and i sat front and back seat and the middle is tight . It will fit a small child because of limited leg room and i would concerned about someone getting they legs stuck in the seat straps in a case of a flip over. But its very stable

I looked at multiple different kayaks before I decided buy this one. I am a single mom of 3 girls and no experience with kayaking at all. So i took it to prayer and did some research on them. Well i kept feeling like this one was the one to get even though i dont go fishing. I am so glad i trusted my feeling because this kayak end up being amazing for us beginners. I actually bought 2 of these first, then realized its not enough room. So I ended buying a lifetime hydro and a lifetime tandem Kokanee kayak also. I am that paranoid over protective mom so i was super worried about my daughters going on kayaks with out an adult with them and it was memorial weekend. Lots of boats and jetskis. I was even scared to get on one too. Let me tell you these kayaks are very stable and very easy to paddle in. I couldnt believe how fast we were able to get around in them. I never once thought we would tip over and i never once felt unsafe. I am overweight 235lbs and i am not an active person at all and i had zero problems getting in and out of kayak or paddling in it. I shared one multiple times with my 8 yr old and other times my 21 yr old nephew who is near my weight. Again no problems. Because i bought another tandem one i was able to compare them after using both. Let me tell you this sport fisher one is a much better choice then the other one. I regret not buying 3 of them. The features it has makes it so much better then the kokanee and hydro one. I also felt safer and more stable in this one. The other one is cool too but its a big difference. I only let my daughters get on these 2 fisher ones because i trusted these ones the most over the other ones. My friend and his also got on them and loved them. We were all first timers with kayaks. These kayaks are heavy, so even though i have a yukon with roof racks i bought a trailer for $350 at HF to pull them around on. No way my oldest and i could lift these kayaks up over our heads when we go alone. We can carry them to and from yukon though. Bottom line is I highly recommend these kayaks to everyone. Make sure you put the scupper plugs in first and make sure you buy 12ft NRS straps so you can strap these down seamlessly. Also kayak is comfortable to seat in and the little seats are easy to adjust and sit back in. You can definitely fit 3 people on one and theres 3 sitting areas but you would have to buy a 3rd seat or just have them seat in middle. I could actually fit my 3 girls and myself on one but it wouldn’t comfortable for us. We prefer only 2 people on each onw because we needed the space so people who sat in back could paddle freely with out knocking out or hitting person in middle

The best part of this kayak is it for fits 3 people and 2 adults one kid. Main reason i got it is to take my boys with me fishing. Also very easy to paddle by self in back seat. 3 adults would not be comfortable. Also i like that its wider than most kayaks which is great for stability. Only negative thing i would say is seat back is not very comfortable and doesn't have a bottom cushion. Its a good length not to long and fairly lightweight compared to similar size ones. Ill be upgrading my seat. Overall im happy

My first kayak and I love it
I live near lakes and I did not realize how having a kayak has been therapeutic during this covid time. I bought because my daughter and I had to social distance and its turned out to be the best buy. Its sturdy and versatile. Its light. I can pick it up and offload from my truck myself. Given I place a lot of weight on my knees. Nonetheless. You can get two adults or 1 adult and 2 kids/teens comfortably. It has a big storage underneath.

Dog worthy
I wanted a kayak that would easily handle my golden retriever as my companion. I would have kids and other adults also, but mostly the dog.

For the price its a pretty good kayak. Definitely suitable as a tandem kayak for fishing. The company, Lifetime, stands behind its products if you ever have an issue. However, its heavy and 3 ft wide so make sure you research for an adequate roof rack carrier system unless you're throwing it in the bed of a pick up truck

I got it mainly to use for duck hunting with my oldest son in the STA’s in south Florida but have to wait later in the year for the season to start. I live on a lake and have taken it out with my 2 sons (6 years and 9 years old) several times and it works great. Very stable and once you get the rowing down you can go pretty fast. Hopefully it works this well in the hydrilla of the STA’s.

Love the Sports Fisher
I bough this kayak for my sons 14th bday. He loves it and I love it! We’ve already used it on the Colorado River several times for fishing and just normal kayaking up and down. It’s light, durable and a lot of fun to use.

A company worth buying from
On top of great products they provide great services. I've had my kayak nearly 5 years now and it had a few defects I was willing to look over for a while. Eventually it started bothering my physical health so I filed a warranty claim. Within the week of filing a claim they'd sent a pickup for the kayak free of charge. I had to reschedule the pickup and the company they used to pick up my kayak were no less than amazing helping my clueless self with the process. Everything went smoothly, I'm more than satisfied, I'm amazed with their services.

Awesome Kayak!
Purchased this kayak about a year ago and have used it nearly 20 times on several lake and rivers. Could not ask for a better fishing kayak. It's reasonably priced, very stable and has plenty of room for all my gear. Lifetime is a great company as well. I contacted them after I unfortunately did not screw my storage cap on tightly enough and it flew off during one of my trips. With no questions asked they are sending me a new one free of charge! Plan on buying my next kayak from them in the future.

Arrived with a big hole in the bottom
I was so excited to get this; it looked great when I unwrapped it. I turn it over to put it on top of my jeep so I could go try it out at the lake and there is this big giant hole in the bottom. It would take a lot of force to put a hole in it like that. It was a birthday gift and I was so so disappointed. I won’t be able to get another one before fishing season is over so now I’ll have to wait until next year. Big bummer.
