I bought this remote to control a plug-in light fixture mounted over the kitchen sink. I installed the fixture and this remote a week ago and it has worked flawlessly. I purchased a single remote so there was no need to pair the device and no chance of interference between devices as others have noted. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have receptacles on both sides of the device instead of just the right. My cord was coming from the left side, which required me to flip the entire outlet for a "clean" installation (see pic).

Very Practical, Love it. The Wireless Indoor Remote Control Outlet Switch with 3 Receivers and one remote is so practical. It is 3 prongs which means it is grounded and safe for all your devices. I plugged in 3 different lamps around the house that we like to turn on every evening. So one Remote turns them on and then when we go to bed it's simple to turn off. Best part, it has an additional button "All" On or Off feature. One click and all lamps turns off. I think it would be great during the holidays when you have Christmas lights all over the house with separate plugs can be managed by i remote.

Where has this been all my life? Incredibly easy to set up and super-duper convenient! Simply pull the plastic tab off the battery and pair it by pushing 'on'. I love that when I am nodding off to sleep I can just grab the remote off the nightstand without interrupting my entire state of relaxation by contorting myself to reach a switch or having to get up completely. I can turn of my main light, my reading light and/or my laptop either separately, or all at the same time using one button. Note: it doesn't allow for dimming and there is no remote holder/stand, but not only is it great for those with mobility issues, it's great for absolutely anyone who enjoys convenience for convenience sake.

This is perfect for my table lamp next to my bed. I just plugged the cord into the right side of this plug outlet (which has a polarized plug). You need to remove the plastic tab inside the remote unit to activate the battery (CR2032-3V). These batteries are inexpensive so no need to worry about replacing it when the time comes. It's a simple way to turn your lamp on and off without having to lean over the table and turn the light off manually. This unit is not a "smart" type of outlet. You do not activate it via WiFi so you can't use it with Alexa or another smart device. It's simply a way to make it more convenient to turn lamps, appliances, Christmas tree lights, etc.. on and off remotely. It has a 100 ft. range and is already pre-programmed to the remote and ready to use. It's compact so you can still use the 2nd outlet on your wall plug. I really like this remote control outlet and the price is great.

I have used these type remote control outlets for several years and bought many as presents. They are awesome. I needed a single one for a vanity light I put over my TV that I bought from HD a while ago. I bought a cord cover, wired a regular extension cord into vanity light and covered the cord running to outlet and painted color of the wall. I plugged in this single RCV and plugged in extension cord and hit the remote button. I can lay it by TV or by seating and turn it off & on without crawling behind the TV to turn off & on. There are others that have 2 or 3 RCVs to turn all the bedroom lights etc off and on without getting up. Perfect for control of holiday tree or lights on the mantle. I love it and my friends and family have gotten them as a gift and bought more. Great idea. Pre programmed plug it in and magic. Signal of 100 feet or so and no wifi needed.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT, but it could be improved with: - Whit a switch on the remote it would double the outlets. - From 5 to > 10, that would be an 100 % improvement!! - Just a a little bigger and raised/elevated the buttons. - A more softer needed pressure to switch. - Remote flat in the back so it can be easier to attache to a flat surface (like wall and so on). - A little more visible the blue led light. - Enough but VERY GOOD strength/signal RANGE inside home. Some micro-latency! - Bigger batteries to last more and like this a more powerful signal/transmission. > Had it for several weeks > Meet definitely my expectations.

I bought another brand a couple of years ago and like them. My home was built in 1928 has plaster walls. Master bedroom has no overhead lightning or outlet connect to a light switch. An electrician would be a fortune. I bought 3 sets. 2 on A frequency & 1 on B frequency. Each remote and outlet preprogrammed to button 1,2,or 3 on remote. By having two A frequency I could control two outlets on 1,2 &3 buttons of remote A at the same time, and one outlet on 1,2,or 3 on B frequency. Worked well. After a little over a year, all the A frequency not working. All the B frequency still work. I assume some defect on the A frequency manufacturing line occurred for a period of time. I noticed the 5 outlet remote online from home depot. I bought 2 sets, and am glad I did. You program each outlet to what ever number on the remote control you want. For example, I have a floor lamp and 2 nightstand lamps on button 1, closet lamp programmed to button number two, and my office lamps on buttons 3 and 4. Works great. There is a sixth button for all on or all off. If you turn on more lighting on over time, you can turn all off at the same time by pressing all off. It comes with two remotes which I programmed the same way. One positioned at entry of room and one at bedside. When it's time for bed, no more stumbling in the dark. Press all off from bed.

This affordable remote control system can control up to five outlets, however performance is erratic. The system has two remote control transmitters and five switched receiver outlets that can be plugged into regular outlets. Each remote transmitter can control any receiver by pressing the appropriate 'on' or 'off' buttons. The remote controls contain a battery that will require changing at intervals. The receivers must be programmed by holding down the button on the receiver until a light shows up. Then you have a few seconds to program the unit to one of the five channels using a remote control transmitter by pressing the off button for the channel. If you want either remote control transmitter to control that particular receiver you must repeat the process with the other transmitter. Even at close range operation is erratic. Sometimes nothing happens even at close range, although I have been able to control an outlet at up to 70 feet, about half the promised range, but still good enough for all but large houses. If you want to be sure that the outlet is off, you may have go and check. The documentation is incomplete and sometimes confusing, but usually problems can be solved by experimenting. For example there are no instructions for replacing the transmitter battery. If you have a small hooked tool you can pull the battery tray out, but it requires enough force that you risk damaging the tray. The receivers are large enough that they will prevent you from plugging anything into the second socket of a duplex outlet. This set is a great value if you need to individually operate several lights or devices in the same room and you have some feedback that shows whether the command has been received.

The Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch for Household Appliances and Electronics works very well. My daughter tends to fall asleep with her TV on. I have her TV plugged into an outlet switch so I can turn off her TV from my bedroom when I notice it on during the night. I also use the outlet switch on my reading lamp that I can't reach from bed. With the push of a button its off and I don't have to get up!. I also plan on using the outlet switches to control some Halloween props to scare my trick or treaters. Set up is very easy, just plug the appliance into the outlet switch, plug that into the wall. Push the button on it till it flashes and then push the button on the remote till the blue light stops blinking. There is even an all "on" button and an all "off" button to control all the appliances at once. This control system states that it has a 150 foot range and works through walls and doors!

A handy setup for simple remote control BACKGROUND: I have a motion sensor light in my shop that sometimes decides to stay on. I have to climb onto my workbench and unplug it to reset the sensor. I’m getting too old to do that, so I was looking for a remote switch. This set of switches looked like the perfect answer. GENERAL REVIEW: This is a nice sleek looking set of equipment. The 5 sensors are simple to use and the two remotes give doubled versatility. Programming is simple, plug the outlet switch into a receptacle and use the integral button to turn the outlet switch on manually; then press the numbered remote “Off” button for the channel you wish to assign to the switch. You must program each sensor to each remote. This might sound redundant but actually makes the system much more flexible. I have one remote (marked “Shop”) that I keep just inside the door of my shop. On that remote, the motion light is channel “1”. The second remote is kept in the house. The motion sensor in the shop is assigned to channel “5” on that remote. Note: The outlet switches are not numbered or marked. I used a sharpie to keep track of channel assignments. Operation is also simple. Each remote has separate buttons to turn each of the 5 outlet switches on or off. But there are also “All On” and “All Off” buttons that control all the outlet switches assigned to a remote. The instructions say you can control the outlet switches up to 150 feet away. I found that 50 feet of open air works 90% of the time. At 75 feet, the position of the remote seemed to affect reliability. I found that holding the remote so that the back faced the outlet switch gave 80%+ reliability. The remote did not work through my metal garage door (not a surprise.) Note: The remote uses a single CR2032L battery in a slide-out battery holder. You will need a small screwdriver to pop the battery holder out of the remote. SUMMARY: I am very pleased with this equipment set. Now I just need to find 4 more things to remote control. But not to worry, there are always the Christmas lights.
