I picked up this LED fixture to replace the existing basic 5" recessed light fixture installed on my front porch in order to be able to add some colour to mix and match with the RGBW bulbs I have previously installed on either side of my garage door. Heads up to any prospective buyers, the installation instructions show a cable connector required to be installed in the wiring box knockout hole, so be sure you have one available as it is not supplied and not identified on the package as being required for installation. Probably not a big deal if you're doing a bunch of other electrical work at the same time, but if you were only installing this one fixture it would be a huge annoyance to have to go back to the store to get one. On the software side of things, the WiZ Connected app was a breath of fresh air in the very cluttered world of connected/smart/IoT devices because it was so simple to use and incredibly DOES NOT require you to sign up or create an account! It is fully functional without needing to create an account, and still allows use with other smart home services and integrations like Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Smartthings, IFTTT and lots more. For you Home Assistant afficionados, there is no native integration for devices using the WiZ Connected app/service, however there is a custom integration available that seems to work very well, and despite not indicating compatibility with switches I was able to successfully integrate the SPEX 3-way switch and a smart RGB light fixture into my Home Assistant setup with little fuss. Installation instructions for retrofit installs as well as new installs seem very straight forward, and a template for the hole required to be cut is supplied, so thats a nice touch as well. Overall I'm really happy with this SSPEX 5/6-INCH LED White WIZ Smart RGBW Recessed Baffle Fixture for my intended use and would happily recommend it.

I originally bought 1 of these pot lights to see if it was going to be a good option to replace the old recessed pot lights in my home from the mid 90's. I have 6 to replace but wanted to make sure this worked well first before comitting to to buying 6. Well spoiler alert, I now have all 6. The hardest part of the install is actually removing the old potlights without damaging the drywall. Once the old potlight is out you simply wire in the blue electrical connection box and then attach it to a joist. Then the pig tail connects easily to the potlight itself and tightens up. The potlight itself installs in seconds, simply pull the spring loaded tabs back, slide it in the 5 or 6 inch hole and then release. Installed. I'd say it takes less than 10 minutes per light. It has a great white light, I actually prefer the lighting LED lights offer today and it is completely dimmable. This is also a smart potlight and I downloaded the app and connected all the lights. The process is seamless and easy and the control works very well. Being honest I'm not sure I will ever use it. Not because its not good, but my wife and kids will never use it, and I always forget I have the control of the lights and just use the light switch. I guess I'm getting old. All told, I really like these lights and will be using them in my builds going forward. They don't have to be just for retrofits but for new installs.

I am renovating my basement and wanted to install a larger and brighter recessed fixture in the hallway of the basement at the bottom of the stairs. I still have to install the ceiling tiles, I installed this light to the beams to see how it would look. Very impressed, it is extremely bright and very clean looking. Very easy to install with the quick connect. The wires are hidden in the lights junction box. I mounted the box to the wood beam with 2 screws. The light comes with a template so its easy to measure the size of the hole to cut out. Slide the light through the hole and the spring loaded clamps hold it in place. The magnetic trim snaps on to complete the finished look. Installation was about 25min. I am very happy with the quality of the product and the bright light it provides. It is going to look great when I install the ceiling tiles. I have attached a picture to illustrate the set up of the installation

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The build quality of this fixture is excellent. It's heavy and feels premium. In the box is everything you need aside from a screwdriver. There's a template, electrical box, fixture, and instructions. The install process was easy. You turn off the breaker, connect the white and black wires from the ceiling to the electrical box using the built in friction connectors instead of those annoying and bulky marretes. Then you tuck the box away and connect the fixture to the connector coming from the box. It's a very secure connector that seems waterproof. Then you hang the fixture on the ceiling and turn on the breaker and light switch. Once the light is on you can add it to the WiZ app on your phone. In my case the app automatically detected the fixture. I think it uses bluetooth, so ensure that your bluetooth is enabled. After it was added to the app I can change the colors, set schedules, choose dynamic modes where the light changes into specified colors, set the fade in /out times, and so much more.. The fixture comes with a 3 year warranty and is IC rated so you can install it indoor or outdoor, in the shower, or under the soffits which is where I installed mine so that I can use the different light modes for the holidays and other occasions.

It has push in Connections which make hooking up electrical super easy. The Wiz App is well put together , you can choose various themes, settings, timers and change colors. overall I was super impressed with quality. I would definitely recommend this light.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The WiZ Baffle light is a great addition if you require a large sized recessed light. This 6" unit is not small, and is full of features. It is easy to install with a single round opening. The control box has a reasonable amount of wire to give you lots of room to secure it to a joist, and still put the light where you want it. Just make sure you have enough room, because this is a large unit and is quite deep. The electrical install is super easy with the quick connect system that is common now. No more fussing with those screw-on wire connectors. Getting the light connected to the WiZ system is also a breeze. I already had it in place for other lights, and this addition took no more than a couple mins.

So popped this in the ceiling beside an existing pot light so we could borrow the wire and test this out, already had the Wiz app on my phone and it paired right away. On/Off worked fine, great - then I explored the mood/color options in the app. My wife and I had a blast going through them, endless themes or moods just by scrolling on the app, some like candlelight and fireplace actually flicker like the real thing - we stepped outside (at night of course) and you'd swear there was a fire going in the fireplace. Anyway a lot of ooing and aawing through these, my wife loved the calm ones an I got a chuckle out of the halloween and christmas theme. We're deciding where exactly to move this and even though I doubt we'd use much of the colour themes other than for a few laughs when entertaining we definitely would like the temperature mood settings. This thing is a lot of fun and works very well.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow and after installing the app, I was able to control this light with my voice or any of the devices within my home, making this part of my smart home! I will definately buy more to make my entire home a smart home.
