Please note, the PIR sensor activates when motion is detected. After 30 seconds of no motion, the fixture automatically turns off.
It’s hard wired -120 volt. It does not plug in. Ideally you would install it to replace an existing fixture. If there is not an existing fixture, you’ll need to install a box and run the wire.
Yes.. It is hardwired installed. I have a deep coat closet that wraps around under the stairs. It was installed deep into the closet so when I crawl in to dig into boxes it auto turns on and then off when I crawl out. It works great. I'm glad I choose this light.

yes. tape over the sensor or position the unit in a way to block the sensor.
I installed three of these lights in three closets. I installed them to the side of the closet doors, they all work great. The sensor is not adjustable but it doesn’t have to be. I think that by installing over the door would be a perfect location since the sensor faces down.
Good question..not sure how to answer this as none of my closets have windows. I would have to assume it'll be fine since it's set off by motion. The only problem is that if a bird flies by or something, the light will automatically flip on. I believe you can adjust the sensitivity level, though. Hope this helps.
No, They will need a back box.
No batteries used or needed.
