I got this LOCK-ON 25 in. Hooded Foam Floor Squeegee without Handle to clean out the garage from snow melt water in winter and also to clean the tiled patio.
The squeegee works well and the foam lip seems to hold up better than expected. I like that has this "snow plow" design, which prevents water from flowing over the squeegee and therefore lets you move more water than with a normal squeegee.
The lock-on system works only if you purchase a lock-on handle, but you can use any threaded handle with this squeegee.

This can be used with or without the LOCK-ON pole. I have a standard water pole (you can spray water through it) and it works fine (it does unscrew on you though when you twist which is why the lock-on would be better- but still not necessary).
It actually accepts two different pole thread types and has a universal thread.
There are two foam pads (mounted vertical so they use sort or a sweeping action and the water can spray between them).
The big hood keeps the water from spraying/splashing out too much.
I use this on my epoxy garage floor to both clean and also to just push water that the car leaves after rain. Works very well!

A floor squeegee is not the type of tool I would normally get excited about! I have been using the same metal one for many years, there is almost no foam left on it. Saw this futuristic one and thought I would give it a try. I got it and added a metal painters handel then started cleaning the floor in the workshop. The squeegee was a bit hard to push at first on the smooth wet concrete, but once I had used it for a bit it broke in and was working really well, I like the big hood it helps to keep water and soap from splashing over the top of it , unlike my old squeegee. This is the Cadillac of squegee's.

This Unger LOCK-ON 25 in. hooded foam floor squeegee is designed to move a lot of water in a hurry. It moves up to 50% more than a traditional 25 in squeegee with no hood. It has double foam blades and it works well on my uneven garage and patio floors. It is designed to accept the Unger new “Lock-On” handle. The new lock on handle does not “unscrew” it’s self when in use and that is an excellent improvement. The squeegee is actually 25.5 in. wide (see photo) and will accept a standard threaded handle also. I have attached photos to aid the prospective buyer.

Because I applied water-proofing stain to our deck last year, rainwater now sits on top, with the deck staying wet with puddles until the sun shines again to dry it out. That meant walking through puddles to get to the seating area. Not a tragedy, but not best for when we entertained. And I needed something better than my yard broom to sweep the water off.
This squeegee worked better than I expected. Whereas the yard broom left streaks of water behind its path, this squeegee removed more water, resulting in the wood flooring becoming almost dry! I’m not sure how long the foam squeegee will last against the rough deck wood but for the price and benefit of having a dry deck, it’s worth it for me.
I was happy to find out that this model had an improvement from their previous version(s). Previous versions had problems with the pole staying in the squeegee, but this update allows for attaching a threaded pole. And although this doesn’t come with a pole, that didn’t bother me since I have a few of those lying around.
Another feature is a hood that will push higher volumes of water. The manufacturer states 50% more. I won’t need that feature for my deck but if in the future my basement or garage floods, it’s good to know I can push out more water with a single sweep because of the hood. The hood also serves as a splash guard which I appreciate.
Overall, I’m happy with this squeegee. It did the job better than I expected and I like having it as a backup for other potential situations where this will come in handy.
