A:  Use the lath and make sure it is plumb and square. Mike

      by|Dec 22, 2023

A:  Thank you for the question. Loctite PL 375 Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive is a latex, water-based product and may or may not be well suited for the application described. Although Loctite does not speak to this particular use that is not to say you cannot try keeping in mind your results will depend largely on the condition of the existing lath and plaster. You might also consider a stronger adhesive such as Loctite PL Premium 3x or Loctite PL Premium Max; however, permanent mechanical fastening would be required in this situation as an adhesive should not be used as the sole means of attachment, for safety reasons.

          Still liquid after a week!
Horrible! Used it to glue concrete retaining blocks - after a week it is like it is fresh from the tube. It does not work as a glue/adhesive! (Homedepot was out of LiquidNails Fuseit I used to use before so I decided to try - it was worth driving to another store.)

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are so sorry you had this experience. The Loctite PL 375 is a latex, water based product and is not suitable for the intended use you described. The results you obtained would be expected in this type of landscape project. The product that should have been considered is the Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction adhesive. This product is ideal for retaining wall/block projects. I used this for air sealing some small gaps in my attic. It has very little smell and dispenses easily. I also used the PL500 but it has too strong of a smell (the attached photo is PL500). I can easily spread it around with my finger. I have bought multiple times and will definitely buy again. It is much cheaper than Silicone caulking.

I used this to glue foam board to an aluminum awning. Works great. Don't have the awning up on camper so not sure how it will hold up in the rain but not thinking I am going to have any problems.

                Great Adhesive Purchase
Working pretty good so far. I live in an RV park and made a little brick flower bed. I cheated gluing the brick to a pressure treated 2 x 4 to achieve a nice straight and level brick line. Looks really nice, saved a lot of time and everyone that sees it really likes it!

                Worked great!
I enjoyed using this adhesive. I found the perfect sized mirror for our bathroom with a wood frame so I used the glass tile left over from our bathroom remodel to make the perfect accent for over the vanity. I liked how the glue was thick enough to hold the tiles in place but didn't dry so quickly that I couldnt switch one out if I wanted to. This was my first time doing something like this and it was fun.
