I mounted this on my shed outback. Then about 100 feet away setup the display.
Thats all you really need to do to use and enjoy. However you can connect to the internet and it will sync time, grab forecast info and you can send data to weather sites that allow you to see online and share that info for free.
I connected mine to the Weather Underground and its used on the website for public data which also keeps a daily record of all the stats.
The only real issue but not bad is setting up the local access point, connecting your phone or computer and adding your network info. It could probably be done a bit more smoothly if they had an app that you just scan and everything connects. Its not hard but its also not going to be everyone's ease of setup.
The software says it can be updated but I no idea where to find the update files, searching help, manual and website etc so I put mine on a separate guest network and moved on.
Overall for the price and sensors its a good deal. Its light and all plastic but seems sturdy enough to last for awhile.
