The 2 button Pico remote can be paired to a main in-wall dimmer or switch for Caseta Wireless devices either in stand-alone or with the Smart Bridge (L-BDG2-WH) for multi-location applications. In order to integrate your Caseta Wireless devices with Amazon Alexa, the Smart Bridge is required. Currently, there is no industry standard or regulation for the manufacturing of LEDs and the performance will vary with different dimming controls. With this information in mind, Lutron performs extensive testing on a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers and posts our most up to date testing information on our LED compatibility tool. Lutron would suggest visiting www.lutron.com/ledfinder or www.lutron.com/ledtool to find compatible LEDs for a Lutron dimmer.
No, it will turn on to 100%. If you want a dimming preset I think you need the other kind of remote with center round button.
The only thing that the instructions didn’t include was how to pair the device with an existing one so I just figured it out. You need to take the new device near the original switch device and press and hold the two “on” buttons until the light fixture flashes then you are good to go.
For RF outlets, Lutron would recommend the PD-3PCL. This is the Caseta plug-in dimmer that can accommodate two lighting loads that are connected via a 2 prong plug. The PD-3PCL is not rated to control a motor load, however, only lighting loads.
that's actually a pretty good idea! I believe it would work great. It is just a remote for a wired wall switch. You'll need both.
Yes, it can. It will only turn it off and on to 100%, you need the other kind of remote to have it dim.
You need the caseta bridge. They sell starter kits that include the bridge. After that, it's easy to work with Google Assistant, or Alexa, smart things, or home kit, if you haven't fully committed to one yet.
I got mine to work at over 400 feet. It would probably work fine inside of 100 feet most of the time.
