that's actually a pretty good idea! I believe it would work great. It is just a remote for a wired wall switch. You'll need both.

By installing the remote switch with the lutron switch for my mom , it allowed her to turn off her light without having to walk back and forth in her studio apartment. I think the bracket should automatically be included with the remote.

I used it to put in a switch where one was forgotten when the home was built 20+ years ago. No need to cut Sheetrock or fish new wire.
