A:  The caseta switch can be used on either end, but you have to splice the wires through on the opposite switch and use the pico in its place. You cannot use this switch in conjunction with a standard three-way switch.

This will give you new wall switch at the current location, and then the remote can be mounted as a wall switch (with the kit) anywhere else in the room.
