You could use them single or two three-way

upgrading our lights to led and this was just what I needed to finish the job on off bright to dim works great

I bought several of these LED dimmers 4 years ago and was thrilled that this style was still available for the conversion of my remaining dimmers! This style is attractive and the sliding dimmer lever is much easier to use than other styles.

I used this with a couple Lithonia wafer think LED lights. I mounted this in a box in a floating shelf with the lights. I chose this after reading a number of reviews to find one tht did not have audible hum issues. Once mounted in the enclosure I had zero audible hum. I had very faint audible hum when doing a bench test before I mounted everything. (I had to put my ear right to it in a quiet envronment to make out any hum). So that was dead on with what others had to say. So it worked great with my lights. I love the design of having the switch and dimmer in one so you can set the brightness where you wan and leave it and just turn it on and off with the rocker switch. Very nice. The switch has a soft feel to it. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the gloss finish on the dark brown. But I like the other features and the overall product enough that I"m not detracting anything for that. If like me you are wiriing 2 lights in parallel adn using wago wire nuts I would go with a deep box because it was a tight fit getting this dimmer and all my wiring into a regular box. Very tight.
