Very attractive, solid, nicely finished aluminum, used as nosing on 15 stair staircase. Appears to be coated with durable, dark, nearly black, glossy enamel. About 36.5" long, which is very helpful since some (nominally) 36" steps will be slightly wider. If you're cutting many of these to length, you'd benefit from having a deburring tool to smooth the ends, tho a file would work fine too.

Used this as a sill for the stairs from my kitchen to my basement and it worked like a charm after I cut it to length and crest a number of countersink holes. This will take the abuse and then some at a high traffic area
