Product Details

The M-D Backer Rod provides a base for caulking to prevent caulk waste in deeper, larger gaps or joints. Backer rod can also fill gaps to protect the home against drafts, moisture, dust and insects. Can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications. Before installation, cut to desired length by using scissors.

          I recently learned about this product while exploring how to fill in concrete joints. The product is reasonably priced, durable and easy to use. I plan on filling in more joints as I water proof and repair concrete joints for safety and a great look when complete. Thanks for this product design.

            Good product that has a variety of different uses. My main use for it is when I have to caulk a r...
            Good product that has a variety of different uses. My main use for it is when I have to caulk a rather large gap. I'll first fill the gap with backer rod, then caulk. I get better much results that way. It gives the caulk something to grab to, and the caulk won't shrink too much.
