How to I tell which type of winterization door stripping is needed?
Thank you for reaching out. The first step is to measure the top and sides of your door to see how long of a seal you need to seal the door. Second is to measure the gap between the door and your door jamb when shut. This will determine how large of a seal is needed. If your doorway has a preinstalled kerf channel or if it does not will determine if you need a kerf channel fit door seal or a surface mounted door seal. Apparently they are charging $4.59 to have someone carefully measure and cut three inches from the 84” piece. That’s the price of labor.
What kind of vertical weatherstripping for French doors is Cat scratch proof

This kit comes with three pieces, two 84" pieces for the vertical sides of the door frame, and one 36" piece for the top of the door frame. All of the hardware needed to install is included.
