This is not a severe weather or impact rated door unit. It does not meet Florida building code requirements for hurricane ratings.
Is this frame storm door ready or will I need to make additional adjustments to install one?
Yes, the frame on this unit is storm door ready. No frame extenders are necessary.
Are the windows available without the etching pattern?
What you see in the glass is not an etching, but white colored grilles that are between the 2 panes of glass. Unfortunately, we do not offer this door without the internal grilles on HomeDepot.com, however if you reside within our Midwest/Northeast service area this can be special ordered in-store at your local Home Depot.
Can I pick different glass?
This unit is only available with the clear glass shown.
