Is this door a good door for added security From garage to inside home?
This is an interior grade door. It can not be considered secure beyond normal interior room-to-interior room use. There is no fire rating or seal that typical house-to-garage doors require.
Simply changing the hinges to black hinges of the same size and shape voids the warranty?
Simply changing the hinge to an identical spec hinge will not have an effect on the warranty, however modifying the door or frame to accept a hinge of a different spec could effect the warranty.
Could this be used as garage to house door? Is it fire rated?
This is not a fire-rated door unit. This door is not intended for outdoor exposure. The materials used in the door and jamb are not manufactured to withstand extreme humidity or temperature change, even if the door is finished with exterior paint. Installing this door outdoors would void the warranty.
