Questions & Answers

How does it adjust? Does it need to be cut down, or does it curve more, or what?

Asked by: Laura
No cutting needed. The rods slide into one another and have a rubber stop you use in once you get to the desired length.

How far apart are screw holes on the wall mount? I am trying to use old holes about 1 inch apart

Asked by: Mike
They are closer to 2 inches apart. The center of the bracket/wall mount has the pivoting flange.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product, poor hardware The product was just as described. It makes a huge difference in our bathroom - lots of extra room in the shower without making our small bathroom feel even smaller. Installation was easy with the exception of the hardware that was provided. The hollow wall anchors appear to be made for thicker drywall, so the screws just spun around in the anchors and did not tighten in our wall. We substituted our own anchors and screws and the rod is really stable. A great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product! Very sturdy, well built compared to those in this price range and even higher. Would reccommend using 3/16 toggle bolts (for sheet rock)instead of the system it came with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice once installed Installed this today by myself. Could not find the directions anywhere in the box, so attempted to just install. How hard could it be? lol turns out next to impossible. You really need the directions (which are printed on the back of the box). This is not an intuitive thing to put up as one might think. You have to pop off the end caps which almost feels like you are going to break them. I only figured this out because on the directions its shows them off, but doesn't tell you how to get them off. Once you get past that installation isn't too bad, I imagine it would have been easier 1. if I had another person helping or 2. if I were taller. It is a beautiful curtain rod and cant beat it for the price. I would definitely recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product I have installed several other shower rods and this shower rod installation is the worst I have ever done. The anchor bolts are poor. The plastic posts are not interchangeable if the rod has to be removed when reattaching each post fits only one specific rod. The decorative covers scratch the walls paint when they are installed and are loose after installation. Once installed there is too much give to the rod. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is a very poor product. This rod is overpriced for the quality. The shower rod model is DN 2160 and when registering the rod was attempted, the model number was rejected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Engr I purchased and installed the second of two curved shower rods today. I noted the pin (Philips head screw) that connects the plastic mounting bracket to the rod actually can slide from the bracket during installation. I thought that the screw could have an actual head in order to manage the location of the screw that connects the mounting bracket to the rod. Also, except for costs, why do manufactures of household products use low quality hardware? Most of the screws, bolts and related hardware are not ASTM/ANSI material and many times need to be replaced because they screws break and/Philips heads are too soft to use as one would think.
