Q:Plumber installed this model in re-pipe of home, instead of the dual mix and Handheld showerhead option. Mix-plate stand on-top the tile totally unsecured. Need to remove the single handle but can't see what fastener holds it. Plumber not coming back.

Q:What is the outside diameter of the backing plate for the handle to the valve? My fiberglass shower tub has a 6" diameter hole already cut and was wondering if I may need the remodeling plate that is larger to cover the wall hole surface?

Shower handle easy to use
Just took my first shower and the handle is very easy to use in regards to setting the right temperature. The shower head has 4 settings which are easily changed.

Wrong tube spout in box
Just purchased to remodel my bathroom, was ready to install it has the wrong tub spout in the box, it's bronze colored not brushed nickel finish

Old technology antiquated aesthetics
Newly installed, shower goes hot when any other water is used in house, not balanced by 3F as claimed. Collar does not match cover plate or have water seal as with other brands in house showers. only fix is to set rough valve deeper to hide dull collar.

My plumber likes Moen
Per his advice I chose the Adler Single-Handle 4-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet for my bathroom remodel. The quality is good and so is the value. The shower head has three settings with nice spray patterns. These days some plastic parts are the norm.

Valve stem out too far. Spacer?
Shower tiled and went to put the faucet handle on and it stick out way too far. Does Home Depot have a spacer? I’d rather not start ripping out tile?

The Moen Adler Single-Handle 4-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet in Chrome (Valve Included) when installed there is a gap between the handle and the escutcheon plate to ensure the screws on the plate do not interfere with the operation of the handle. Depending on the installation, it is acceptable for this gap to be between ½” – 1”. Many times, this gap is defined by the amount of room behind the shower wall the installer has to position the valve. Installation instructions included with the Moen Adler Single-Handle 4-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet in Chrome (Valve Included) cover the use of the Plaster Ground when installing the fixture. The Plaster Ground is used to determine the depth of the rough-in valve based on the thickness of the finished shower wall. Missing spout
I bought this tub/shower faucet and dropped the box way home until next night when the plumber coming to install it. when he starts to install the tub and opened the faucet box, he cut the pipes to fit the valve, after that he put the handles and the last part was missing. No spout, and it was too late to go to home Depot. closing time. and the other parts were installed already. I'll try to go tomorrow and explain this weird situation and find the best solution because now my shower is no ready until I get the spout. in advance I'll check every stuff before to pay and leave the store
