A:  Hello Mielsave and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The Moen Contemporary Wall Mounted Soap Holder in Chrome uses a mounting plate that measures 1.83” from edge to edge and is installed horizontally. There are slots in the mounting plate for the 2-self threading screws. The slots are 3/8” wide and while they provide some flexibility in hole placement, this will not match up with the installation you described.
