Does the lift rod have a seal to prevent water from entering the rod gap and water leaking into the vanity from the top of the faucet. I purchased an Idora 84115BRB unit and installed the unit correctly. There is a large gap between the lift rod & faucet.

To remove the drain plug from the sink, you would need to go under the sink, remove the pivot rod nut located on the back of the drain pipe to pull the pivot rod out of the drain pipe. This will then allow you to remove the drain plug from the sink.
