Good product. May or may not fit your old soap holder. Review the product specifications on the web page, but realize there are a couple minor errors (see attached image).
Also, for customers considering a new or replacement soap holder, I recommend one without the bar (Home Depot internet #202838922, Model #5566, SKU #1000724750). The soap holder w/o the bar has a much cleaner look. Mind you, this one goes much deeper in the wall, so be prepared!!

I needed to replace the existing soap dish. This one fit the hole in the wall. It is not quite as deep as the old one. I had to add some wood between studs in order to fasten it securely. But it worked for me. There may exist a special bracket to help secure it... but I don't think I saw it online when I ordered. The bar on this one does not feel quite as stable as the one I replaced (that one was from the 1970's

This thing doesn't come with the installation bracket. The screws that come with it are too skinny to fit the old bracket if you were lucky enough not to lose it in your wall. I expected the overall cheapness but this is ridiculous.

The Moen Recessed Soap Holder and Utility Bar in Chrome only requires the installation clamp if it is not being installed into wood blocking. The installation clamp must be purchased separately. the look and value fits this application.
I chose this product for its flush mount, the chrome finish , the size only makes it possible to hold nothing other than bar soap and cloth , simple and no clutter, easy to clean .

Did it myself.
I was very satisfied it replaced my old one, so I had already taken the old one out and all I had to do was screw in the new one screws came with it. Nice quality for the price.
