    There is a weight that should be attached about halfway along the water line for the spray head. It comes with the unit and its function is to pull the head back into place by gravity. I suspect the weight has become detached and fallen off. It Is very simple to reattach - you can do it yourself and won’t need a plumber.

    SOLUTION Mine just started doing this. Looked like it was leaking at the base of the faucet where it mounts to counter top. On a guess, I removed the handle (remove faucet handle set screw cover on back of handle and loosen set screw) and handle dome to expose the cartridge nut (see the Replacement Parts Guide .pdf provided with the Installation Guide .pdf on this product page). I checked for a leak coming from the cartridge area by moving the handle stem. Sure enough, water was leaking from the top of the cartridge area. The cartridge nut (Part # 144266) was slightly loose. Once carefully tightened with a crescent wrench, the leak has stopped.

    Great faucet. I like the height and handle. The weight is nice that puts the hose back in place. Unfortunately, the hose is leaking really bad now. I'm hoping Moen will back their product and send a replacement part. The soap dispenser is helpful, although the metallic coating is starting to bubble and it will probably peel soon.

    This faucet is feature rich and I just love it. The satin finish always looks good and the swivel base makes it easier to move from sink to sink. The pullout sprayer comes out with a gentle pull, unlike the Delta faucet we replaced. It retracts but needs a little guidance to have the head facing downwards. We did have a plumber do the installation.

    The installation of this new faucet was very easy once I got the old faucet out. The sprayer automatically smoothly retracts into the faucet and works very well. The faucet does not show fingerprints at all and matches well with a stainless steel sink. Moen also provides a very useful installation tool in the box with the faucet. This tool makes the installation much easier than trying to use a basin wrench

    Absolutely excellent, high quality product. We bought this to replace a cheap Delta faucet that was installed ten years ago. The Delta had finally simply disintegrated with age! What a difference when we picked up this Moen. The quality difference was immediately obvious. What a fine product! It took me only two hours to remove the old faucet and install this Moen. I had bought two braided pipes to connect the new faucet, but it turns out they weren't needed. The Moen not only includes the flex connectors, but they are already attached to the faucet. This means you only have to connect the other end to the water inflow pipes. This probably saved me an hour of work. I will be returning the pipes I bought! The design of this product is fantastic. Everything is obviously high quality and just fits and works just right. The instructions are a little light on detail, and missed a couple of things, but all in all you can figure it out. Once the faucet was installed, it was even more impressive! The pull-out nozzle has stream and shower settings. The pressure is about 50% better than our old faucet, probably because the supplied flex pipes are somewhat narrower than the standard ones you might buy at your local hardware store. Really great product. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and in this case you get quality. Don't hesitate to buy it - you won't be disappointed.

    Great faucet!
    I've had this faucet for 9 days now and its worked perfectly. I really like that the handle has great range from hot to cold and is super easy to use. no leaks or drips. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a reliable faucet.

    Great faucet - easy install - one tip
    Replaced a Water Ridge faucet from Costco that lasted only 20 months. This new Moen is taller than the Water Ridge which is nicer for filling up pots for spaghetti or whatever. The 120 degree swing left to right is more than enough, and the hose is plenty long enough to cover every corner of our sink. Decent flow on both stream and spray setting. Almost bought a cheaper Delta faucet but buyer beware - too many folks complained about its quality and that the handle had to be perfectly centered to turn the water off. This Moen's handle doesn't care where it is - it'll turn off on the left (hot), it'll turn off in the middle, and, you guessed it, it'll turn off on the right (cold), too! Generally easy installation with one tip to help you out. The Moen instructions tell you to put the black rubber O-ring on the bottom of the faucet assembly before putting that assembly's hoses through the sink hole and placing the whole assembly on the sink deck (or cover plate if you choose to use it - I did not). The trouble with that is the O-ring promptly falls off when you tip the assembly over to place it on the sink due to that funny thing called "gravity." So how to keep the very thin O-ring in place until you get the faucet assembly in place? Well I used just two dabs of plumber's putty on each side of the O-ring - just take a tiny amount of putty and use your finger to squish some in the O-ring groove on each side, then push the O-ring into the groove and the two puttied areas. Easy. Plumber's putty comes in small cans in Home Depot, too.

    BEAUTIFUL MOEN FAUCET
    Installation was the easiest I have done, and I've done many. I highly recommend reinforcing under the sink where the center bolt tights up on that C clamp. Notch out a piece of wood and tightly attach faucet body so that it sits atop the sink edge and is as sturdy as ladder rung to pull yourself up onto the counter if you want to. I haven't done it myself yet but it's obvious it needs ta be much more sturdy. Instead, on the backside overtop of the gasket material overlapping,it glazed on a thick layer of some clear expoxy stuff, drys in 5 minutes.I laid it on heavy and used glazing tool. *LOCTITE "60 sec Universal Glue" ,0.6 Oz, big tube, "Extra Strong & Repositionable". Hoping that will stiffin it up in the back side. I will glaze it tomorrow with high quality million dollar Silicone MAX by DAP. Should last a grand old time with some maintenance checked here & there.
