Shaker Gliding 2/3 Lite Patio Door Collection

The door is absolutely beautiful and unique. The built in blinds are definitely a must. They operate as they should. I expected the product to have a little warping but was pleasantly surprised to find none. I’ve installed many doors over the years and this was by far the easiest door I’ve ever installed. I was pleased to find that this door has an anti lift mechanism to prevent theft. It is very simple to activate/deactivate. One last thing to note is its efficiency. It is way more efficient than a full view glass door.

Wrong door sent doesn’t state LH or RH for verification. Had to install it anyways no back door, They say the dog door is XL. Only comes in a Large. Dog door is hard to open. Smeared residue all over the glass doesn’t want to come off. Caulking all over the place. For a $2,700 door you would think it would be better quality. I’ve had cheaper doors look better than this one did. I wouldn’t recommend anyone spending money on this door. Home Depot customer service was awesome tho.

The door is pretty but not worth what was paid for the door and install. Installed in February 2021. Blinds in door was requested, but came without. Door a little over 2 years old (2023) and no longer bright white due to the sun. Multiple requests to correct the blinds, but they never did and was informed the blinds were not added to the order. Offered to pay, but never could get a follow-up regarding the issue. The door lock failed after 1-2 months and Home Depot was good about sending someone out for this initial issue, but after same lock failed again several times was advised door only warrantied for 1 year. The door framing/opening was not wrapped during install, so unknowingly it had been leaking the entire time. Ruined floor and part of casing. Again, told only warrantied for 1 year - only had door for 2 years as of January 2023 and repairs are more than the original install price charged. WG22970386

This door is junk! It’s cheap plastic! Scratches so easy. The handle isn’t bronze just painted plastic.

With the factory installed pet door you cannot open the main door. The sliding door hits the pet door as it protrudes about an inch. MP Doors never tested and ships an unusable door. Of course you do not see this issue until AFTER door is completely installed. They expect me to return door and have a gaping hole in my house for about 6 weeks. The worst experience I have ever had in my 54 years on this planet. RUN FROM MP-DOORS!

The door is very, very heavy and lifts up in the track when you try to close it. My husband and I are in our 70’s and have a lot of difficulty opening and closing the door. If you have children it would be hard for them to open. It is heavy, and doesn’t have a smooth closing, you really have to put some muscle into it, then it lifts up off the track. A small opening at the bottom of the door should have a seal. It allows cold air and dirt to come in. The biggest problem is the door opens only 20” wide and you have to turn sideways to go through it. The bottom doorway is elevated 3” off of the ground, this caused me to fall the first day I went through the door. You have to step up and turn sideways to go through the door and is a fall hazard. We paid Over $2000 for a door that is not only dangerous but difficult to use. We paid over $600 extra for installation. Thank goodness we ordered this online so that I can return it. If you order in store you can’t return it I was told. I am replacing the sliding door with French doors and have to pay $680 for installation again. This door is useless and it seems unfair to have to pay almost $1,300 for installation. We have had the door for one month now and we hate it. Everyone that has used the door has to turn sideways to go through it. What a waste of time and money.

The door has been sitting in my driveways for going on 5 weeks now. Still 3 more weeks for install. So I’d love to give a perspective on the quality of door, but it is still shrink wrapped. Very frustrating that my install coordinator had excellent communication to get the door and install ordered, but since then I could only get a response with multiple and then daily follow up on email. She never returned a phone call or voicemail.

The door is awesome looks great my 2 complaints are it’s a little noisy when you open you can here the roller but it opens very smooth. I ordered a dog door in mine and it was installed crooked which really bothers me because it’s such a nice quality door and cost 2400.00 I expected a little more attention to detail.

Sad to say after a month of waiting and in need of this item. I was shipped the wrong door.

The person building the door could have been more careful with their sealing process, I had to clean the windows to get the goop off. Also it would have been nice to be able to pick a smaller dog door. Over the door are good though
