    Q:Do you need to buy the waterfall spillway to empty into the waterfall or can water just enter the top of the waterfall

    A:  There are no connections on this piece. It is simply a stepped down fall. You need to have a way for the water to flow into the top. I used the Spillway because of the volume of my pond. If you have lower volume needs for a small trickle, you could just mount your tubing to the top somehow.

      A:  The water can just enter the top. We did use the spillway because we were letting our gutter spout empty into the spillway and it was a lot of water. We didn’t want it to overflow out of the cascade. We also have a pump for days with no rain that runs up to the spillway.

      A:  I would suggest no less than a 90 gallon, but it also depends on how high this is above your pond, angle, tubing, etc.. There are instructions on how to figure out how big a pump you will need on the web, look up waterfall pump measurement. I suggest thepondguy.com.
