The safety treads came quickly and were not damaged in shipment. They are well packaged with easy to understand and follow the installation instructions. The strips stick well and cover the entire tub bottom if placed at the proper spacing. No more slipping in the tub for this old man with bad knees! They are quite an improvement to any regular bath tub.

I did not love these. I found them to be very thin and as a result of that, it’s hard to feel any texture in them. Maybe I’m remembering the old style 70’s flower power shaped ones, but these did not make me feel safe. I had just recently slipped in the tub so I was definitely in the market for something to prevent that from happening again. I ended up buying another brand to work with these.

I admit to being skeptical BUT these safety treads worked perfect. Unlike other brands we had used in the past, the Magic treads actually stuck and stayed in place. Our older cast iron tub has a great finish and I wanted to add the safety of new treads. Other brands of treads peeled off after a few showers but not the Magic brand. We followed the directions using Soft Scrub to remove any oil or soap scum from the surface then rinsed with alcohol as directed. Used a cloth/fabric tape measure to get the strips "almost" perfect. Highly recommend these treads to avoid tub and shower falls.

The Magic Safety Treads are intended for Tubs and Showers as a safety precaution to help eliminate slipping in the bath. Each strip is white and measures 7 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch, there are 12 strips in each package. These strips are permanent so be sure you have your wife’s approval of where you place them before you install them. Before installing them, the tub or shower floor must be totally clean, dry, flat, and smooth. Do not use the aerosol cleaners as they leave a film and the safety treads may not stick properly. It’s best after cleaning it, to wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol and let the surface dry completely before applying the treads, then don't use the shower or tub for 12 hours to let the strips bond properly. Made in China.

These treads were easy to install and the instructions on the package were easy to follow along. The flexibility with the narrow strips were much better than any sheet non-skid products I have ever used. We have used the shower/tub a couple of times at least and they are sticking to the bottom with no peeling. As you can see from the pictures, we only needed 10 of the 12 strips than come in the package. That will leave us with a couple of spares just in case.

There are enough safety strips to do a bath and shower if needed. I like to place them in the bathtub at an angle that allows the water to still drain properly. The strips are easy to use, just peel and apply to a clean tub surface. The safety treads are comfortable enough to step on and secure enough to feel stable while taking a bath or a shower.

Safety in the bathroom is very important so I was happy to receive these magic safety treads. There are three sheets of four treads. I cleaned the tub thoroughly and let dry. I sat in my tub to apply these treads. I’m a little confused about how they were supposed to be applied though. The instructions say separate treads from each other leaving paper backing in place. Arrange then remove backing from one tread at a time. This is exactly what I did but after applying the first four and seeing how they were not sticking, I decided to leave the sticky backing on and simply pressed them to tub. This worked a lot better but now I’m afraid the first four won’t last. Not sure why the package instructions say peel away the backing because it’s the adhesive and it is sticky. I’m not even sure why you would be able to peel away the sticky part. Time will tell if they hold up and if not, they are certainly priced to be easily replaceable.

These really work in your tub or shower. I placed them in our mater bath tub in about 30 minutes. It takes a bit of prep to make sure that they won't come up, but once properly placed, they will last for several years at least. It requires a very clean surface. Free from all dirt grime or soap residue. Clean the tub well with cleaner to the point there is nothing remaining on the floor of the tub. Then wash the entire tub floor with rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Once all alcohol has dried place your grip strips on the floor in an angle to allow proper drainage toward the tub drain. Once down, allow at least 12 hours before use to make sure that all strips have properly set. Then use and keep your tub properly clean. These strips have lasted in our guest bath for the past 3 years without any lift or problem. Great price for peace of mind in the tub!
