This is the first time I have used a dehydrator, but so far, I enjoyed using this product. There are plenty of trays. I made 2.5 pounds of jerky and only needed four trays. The operation is as simple as turning it on and changing the dial to the correct temp. My jerky was a bit chewy at four hours, but too tough at six hours. The directions said “at least 4 hours” which I now realize means you might want to add a half hour more. The unit is light weight given its size. I used it in the garage so the house didn’t smell like jerky for days. I look forward to making fruit leather and drying out garden peppers as well. Last, I’m not sure why it needs to be camo (I think the deer will smell it if it is on).

I’m not a great fan of the camouflage design on the outside. It doesn’t camouflage well on the side in my kitchen! The description says that it: “…coordinates with many kitchen decors”. I don’t know of anyone that has camouflage décor in their kitchen. I suppose that is to appeal to the hunters.
This has more than three times the drying area that my old circular dehydrator. With 10 trays there is a lot of drying space. There is not much space between the trays but if you are drying stuff it should be cut thin anyway. I like that the warm air is blown across the trays rather than from the top or bottom. This way one tray of items doesn’t block the air from the next tray of items.
When I first turned it on it had a burnt oil or plastic smell that didn’t clear up really quickly. Luckily it didn’t gave the fruit a bad flavor. The trays look like they are made of brittle plastic to me. I’ll have to be careful with them. Maybe it is just because they are non-stick.
My old dehydrator had fruit roll trays for putting puree fruit on to dry. With this one you have to put plastic wrap over the tray to put the liquid on. I tested this out by drying some apple puree and it worked out very well. After the top was dry I flipped it over and took the plastic off. It didn’t seem to take too long but I think it might have been 5 hours. I also dried apple, banana, tomato and carrot slices. The carrot wasn’t so good but the fruits turned out well.
The user’s manual has good information but it doesn’t have a lot of detailed recipes.
I saw another review say that it was loud. I think it is a lot quieter than the other two that I have had.

Only flaw was that the door popped open a couple of times, I think it was from not being on a flat table surface. Other than that, it worked flawlessly. The trays fit perfectly in the dishwasher for fast cleaning.

Easy to set up and use. Works well with the exception of a bit of expansion in the metal when using the heat causes the door to not shut quite right. Had to use a can to hold it shut.

The dehydrator reaches temperature quickly and maintains it if the door is closed. Issues I have with it are door magnets are week and don't hold the door closed and the bottom tray hangs up on the drip pan and it is hard to slide in place. Other than that it seems to cook evenly. Did 8 racks of beef jerky in 6 hours cut in 1 x 2 x 1/4 slices all dried the same.
