These puppy pickets are well made and come 10 pairs to a box with good padding between panels. Installation is fairly easy with the supplied self tapping screws (12 screws per 6 foot fence section). The problem with this product is that at 1.5 ft height, it is not high enough for most puppies. We have 2 rescues at 12 weeks old and the larger one at 9 1/2 lbs got his head stuck between the puppy picket and the fence picket.
That puppy was taller than the puppy pickets when standing on his hind legs. I would only recommend the 2 ft high puppy guard panels. I ended up adding 24 inch black wire mesh to make it safe.

Whether I would recommend this depends on its use. It is clearly made for a particular kind of ready-made fence, and should work well on that. But my application was for a custom-made fence on the edge of my deck that my chickens were getting through after flying up from the garden, so I had to make some adjustments. Fortunately that was not a big challenge because it's made of aluminium, making it easy to cut.

Great product that is quick and easy to install without the need of highly specialized tools and experience. It is a very user friendly product that can be adapted to existing fences with different grades of elevation and panel lengths. Once installed, it is difficult, if not nearly impossible, to realize that it is actually an add-on product and not original to the fence.

Fantastic Addition to Fence!
We have 3 Shih Tzu dogs, which is hard to believe they could squeeze through fence posts less than 4 inches apart. My 12 1/2 year old was the first to escape. I found this puppy guard online through Home Depot. I had to get approval from the HOA Architectural Committee to install. They approved, I installed in one hour. It is fabulous. The committee was amazed at how nice it fits with the fence, as if it was an origianl piece of the fence. I have had several homeowners ask me where to purchase it. I can now let my dogs into the courtyard without worrying they will run onto the street. I will say I did not install as per the directions. I did not want holes in my fence in case I took it down at some future point. I used the black zip ties. It was so easy, looks great and holds up just fine. I highly recommend the product!

Escape Prevention
I needed a permanent solution for my 9lb puppy escaping on to the golf course by squeezing through the view fence. I had tried plastic fencing in the past and the ties to secure it to the view fence degrade in the summer, breaking off and making gaps....or escape routes. This puppy guard is the perfect solution and the handyman who installed it will recommend it to other customers after putting mine in.

Does the Job
I bought these as an add on to an existing fence installed by a local company, because out beagle is able to fit through the 4-4.75" pickets. Our current fence is not the Home Depot brand, but our options were to go with this or with custom chain link or wire fencing along the bottom of our current aluminum, fence.
I bought two panels initially, and although they are not a perfect fit by any means, I just purchased 55 more panels. Some pickets line up in the middle of my pickets, but then further down some do not, which I can't figure out, nor have I taken the time to take measurements and try to figure out. The two that are close together are because it was easier to do that than cut a few inches off each piece. So, yes, you see some close together and some far apart, but at this point I do not care. Hopefully, this is not something I will regret. If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to them.

Really does the job! The only con of this project...
Really does the job! The only con of this project was getting sections straight. End cuts were not always even so it was a bit tricky ensuring it was straight and level. Otherwise very pleased with the installation process and final result!

We installed 110 puppy panels on 55 6ft fence sections (2 puppy panels per fence section) in about 4-5 hours. Super easy to install and they look great! I will definitely recommend this product to our neighbors!
