Glass-Like Cuts!
This 100T finish quality miter saw blade with its 1" arbor works great with my 12" Hitachi miter saw. I tested it out on both hardwood (walnut) and softwood (pine). The resulting cut on each of them was super smooth. I'd say it would take at least 220 grit sanding to get lumber to a similar level of smoothness left by this blade. The pine had 2-3 spots with splinter-sized tear-out, but that was it. The walnut had absolutely zero tear-out. Obviously it will be a little slower going than a 24T framing blade, but it still offers decent cut speeds, and the cut quality is definitely worth the extra time. The only downside I can think of is that the first few cuts get a bit of the Makita teal color on them, but this has happened with about every brand of saw blade I've ever used.

It does the job in my plunge saw. I bust...
It does the job in my plunge saw. I bust down a lot of sheet goods ( cab grade ply ) and I don’t want any jagged edges. So far so good with this blade, they key to keeping in sharp is clean it. Every 3 months a take all my blades and soak them in simple green while I clean the rest of the shop. Then scrub with a brush and they add some life to them. When you cut a lot of ply you will get a lot go glue residue on your blade. Stay safe folks.
