The saw is blade right as pictured. It depends on which side you like the blade to be. Most righties prefer blade right. Some saws are on the left, some are on the right. I personally prefer blade left but I am left handed and there are fewer options in that category.

Don't know. With moderate care (don't drop it, smash it, etc), it'll probably out last me in this world.
Thought there's a laser guide line on this fancy magnithium saw. Guess not, probably need to pay more for that? Would have been far more useful. The LED is there to make a bit easier to see where the blade is I guess. But it's completely useless during day time. Probably is helpful for those working in indoor shops.
