We have very little carpet in our home, because we have two large dogs and a cat and there hair can be an issue. It was always a pain to drag a cord around the house with a vacuum. The bigger machines exhaust would blow there hair around the room, but this Makita works like a CHAMP! and since we have been using it we have discovered other uses (blinds, door & wall trim boards etc.) I was a little concerned about the battery life and the power of performance due to the extension arm, but Makita delivered. Thanks to all for providing and delivering a great product that solve a big problem for us!!!

I love my 18 Volt Compact lithium-ion Makita cordless vacuum, it's very light, handy, pretty powerful on hard floor and floor mats. Once I have vacuumed my condo and it seems the battery starts getting low, I set it to rest and next day it seems like it regain some power back and I can vacuum some more. The battery recharges very quick. I don't need to leave the vacuum close to the power wall outlet in order to recharge it like some others vacuums, instead I can put it right in the store room closet and the charger can sit anywhere on a little place or counter plugged in. The inconvenience is: the extension too short, I wish they would make it a little longer, the filter needs to be clean often because is small and the battery could be the 3Ah instead of 1.5.

I love this vaccuum. This vaccuum has super powerful suction and lasts long enough to clean the floors in 4 rooms...and when it goes, no matter because the battery charges in just 15 minutes-luv that! I can't believe how much dirt this little lightweight awesome vaccuum picks up. I tested vacuuming every single day for two weeks and I couldn't believe how much debris it picked up each time. I didn't even think there was anything on the floor to pick up, but boy this thing is amazing. This vaccuum is really a good size for me because I'm only 5'3", but I imagine a tall person may want another handle attachment to make vaccuum a tad bit longer. It's also such a great size since space is an issue when you live on a boat!! Although, I do have a few wishes about design. I wish that the easy twist on and off of the canister to remove to clean should have a better locking because sometimes I go to take the attachment out and accidentally open the canister. Now, another improvement would be if Mikata would make and include a brush bristle, since the attachment pipe is not the standard size of other vaccuums, I can't substitute and haven't yet found one to be able to use with it. I recommend getting a backup cloth filter since it looks like it will need to be replaced at some point. All other parts are easy to clean. I do wish it came with a holder so I could store it on a wall...it's so lightweight! I've only had this for a few months and it looks like this vaccuum will be lasting me for many years.

Lightweight & powerful

I’m not impressed. I have hardwood floors downstairs and wall to wall carpet upstairs. To avoid dragging my vacuum cleaner downstairs, I wanted something lightweight and easy to handle to use on the stairs and on a rug in the living room. The pros are that it is lightweight and easy to handle. The con is that the suction is not powerful enough. Even after a full charge the suction is subpar. The three times I used it I ended up sweeping the stairs and rug afterward because it barely picked up anything. That’s double the work and defeats the purpose. I should have returned it immediately. Instead it sits in a hall closet.

Lightweight, powerful for its size, easy to use and charge.
