I like the size and shape of the light. There were a few features that I would have liked to see. Such as, differently arranged on/off switch. The existing switch too closely resembles a slide type switch. A magnetic strip capable of supporting the light in a work environment. 2 or more levels of brightness and, some form of vertical pivot of the lens. Also, I was somewhat disappointed with the brightness of the LED array. The price was mostly what constituted my motivation for purchase as, this was strictly an impulse item that I didn't really need.

Great for long use
I've used this light for working on my ATV and power outage. One day I forgot it on the garage floor over night. It was on over 12 hrs and my 3.0 batter still had 3 of 4 bars left.

Small, lightweight and seemingly useful until you turn it on. Dim would be a good descriptor for the light output. Now just more wasted space in an otherwise awesome Marita toolbox

Lasts for days with 4Ah battery. This was the least expensive 18V Makita light I found. I bought it to fit in the case of my XPH07M hammer drill driver. It is not a WWII Arc Light but it lasts for days with a 4Ah battery. Recently discovered that during power outage so thought to post.

This is not designed to be a bright adjustable narrow beam light to work on something (Makita has other lights designed for that purpose), unless someone is holding it a foot away from what you are working on. What it is designed to do is send a full non-adjustable broad beam of light that lights up a bedroom for about 8 nights on a single charge 5ah battery. This is the perfect light that I used for over a week without electricity after a hurricane hit Houston. I could to believe how this light lasted so long from a single charge before the hurricane hit and I lost electricity for 8 days. I will never know how long it would have lasted after 8 days of no electricity because electricity came on with this light still going strong. I bought three more of these to be ready for the next time a hurricane hits and/or electricity goes out. Also, perfect light for a tent when car camping.
