I ordered this locknut for a Makita N9514B 4" Disc Grinder because the part number is what is ind...
I ordered this locknut for a Makita N9514B 4" Disc Grinder because the part number is what is indicated for the grinder. The locknut that I received is for a nominal 5/16" diameter shaft whereas mine has a nominal 5/8" shaft. Great if yours has the smaller shaft; not so if it's like mine.

Works great. Don't get confused that it isn't 4" acress, it isn't meant to be. It doesn't back sandpaper, but resin sheets that are fairly rigid by themselves. The narrower rubber allows those sheets to flex just the right amount.

it is the wrong size. I needed the lock...
it is the wrong size. I needed the lock not for a 4 1/2 inch grinder. This one is for a small grinder.
