I actually thought I had ordered the one with dust collection but I guess not. It does work very well otherwise but not sure why it costs $50 more than the one with dust collection and same size motor?

Powerful enough to cut 3/4 inch plywood without slowing down. Much quieter and faster than the DeWalt I own. I recently bought a Makita impact driver and plan to change out all my power tools to Makita, more expensive but the quality is better.

This jig saw was a major step up from from my far cheaper B&D. The instructions, although filled with every conceivable safety warning, were easy to follow and I was using the device in 15 minutes. First cuts were of flat 1/16" aluminum. The saw was easy to grasp and maneuver, the blade was easy to insert, the cut was precise and smooth, and the small LED lamp specifically targeted the cut without generating any glare.
