In 3-way head to head Makita came out on top....
In 3-way head to head Makita came out on top. I tested this Makita 1 gallon quiet series compressor against the similar sized Senco and California Air Tools (see full YouTube review https://youtu.be/ffAR4vGFdlo ). All 3 compressors were much quieter than my old 6 gallon pancake and much lighter making them easy to unload or carry up a flight of stairs. After testing these machines on the job and performing controlled tests with staplers, air blowing, brad/pin nailers, and even framing nailers the Makita was dubbed the Goldilocks of the group. Having the right balance of features, performance, and weight. But the Makita was the most expensive of the 3 tested so you’ll have to pay a premium for this friendlier air compressor.

I wanted a comp that was quiet to run my airbrush and fill up tires this compressor makes airbrush compressors look like junk I run it with my new iwata airbrush and it works great I don’t have a imoisture trap but I don’t think it matters it runs cool and at low rpms I had an airbrush comp that ran hot so I sent that one beck I love this compressor and have not had it longs I I plan on trying different things with it but Makita tools have always been excellent and this is no different

I purchased this compressor to replace an excellent Dewalt/Emglo compressor...
I purchased this compressor to replace an excellent Dewalt/Emglo compressor that was simply too heavy and more importantly, too noisy, for use in my shop. Based on a friend’s recommendation, I originally intended to purchase a Rolair AB-5, which is an excellent unit as well. It uses the same type of quiet dual-piston compressor as the Makita Quiet series units. Then, I noticed the Makita MAC100Q unit - similar in size to the AB-5, but slightly less air capacity. The distinguishing feature that led me to like the Makita is the more extensive roll-cage protection in the Makita units. The MAC100Q, however, was a bit smaller than I wanted. That then led me to the MAC210Q, which is in my view, the best value in the Makita Quiet series - great air capacity for trim, cabinetry and furniture, and light enough to move around easily. So far, the MAC210Q has fulfilled my objectives of a quieter and lighter compressor for the type of work I do. For certain, this is not a compressor that you would use for framing a house, but it certainly will drive a framing gun in light use on the occasional, small job. I still have my beloved, but noisy, Dewalt for more demanding tasks.

Works as advertised and expected. I bought it for running my airbrush and after a few changes in fittings with an added water/oil separator....I am happy to say, this is a decent air compressor for it's size and cost.

I use this compressor with a brad nail gun. It is very quiet and compact. The motor, tank and pipe components are tucked inside a rollcage wich is great because it protects them from accidental bumps and scrapes. I recommend this compressor for jobs that do not require large tank capacities, like nailguns.
