What is the rigid core made of? Is it WPC or SPC?
Falls in the Rigid SPC category. Malibu Wide Plank Rigid Core is Phthalate Free, and FloorScore Certified for indoor air quality. All planks feature a 1mm attached IXPE pad closed-cell foam that is composed of Virgin materials. Malibu Rigid core is composed of a blend of mainly PVC resin, calcium carbonate and a PVC overlay.

For further assistance on installation of moldings call our Home Depot Technical Services department @ 800-928-6168. - Approved Subfloors: Concrete, APA rated Plywood & OSB, Particleboard, Ceramic tile, Non Cushioned Sheet Vinyl (single layer). - Non Approved Subfloors: Wood subfloors/Sleepers or Wood flooring installed directly over concrete, Carpet or Carpet Padding, Floating wood or laminate floors, Rubber or Cork floors.
The installation requirements state it must maintain a climate of 65-85 post installation. What happens if it dips below this - for example in a basement in the new england winter.

When installing this flooring, be sure to use a tapping block to engage the locking system — failure to do so may damage the board ends during installation.
